I am going to use them under the canopy when my girls get big (high) enough to as supplemental lighting but as a cfl grow they are what is recommended by those that do that.
I have an HPS so I never grew with only CFL.
All the posts I read or info in the grow FAQ points to those bulbs as choice tho.

update- - - - - - the biggest plant that i told you all was female and had 2 sets of pistils is now showing 4 more sets so 6 pairs of 2 pistils woowhoo 6 bud sites so far 1 week 1 day of flower goin good others showing signs they might show soon hopin for girls

sorry i said it was 1 week one day of flowering i just checked my notes and its 1 week 3 days today so yeah haha ..... thanks cannaboy yeah man im sooo excited too i just cant wait to start gettin really good at this and be able to grow plants like some of the other people on this site haha thanks for the input tho boyss

hey bro i've actually read this thread a couple of days ago. I would def agree with going with a HPS, but have personally seen great results with CFL's, especially if space is an issue. Subscribed pass..

yeah im gonna grab an hps for the next grow the 8 cfl's should be good for now ill use them again next time for lights underneath for xtra light and extra growth thanks for the input

thanks bro and by the way speaking of vibes i heard this story that if you play music in the room with the plants they will have a bit better growth rate because the vibez and bass from the music stimulates growth in the roots is this true??

ive heard that also...so i always play bob marley and any other song with bass in it......there was a study where the grower played classical,rock,heavy metal and let one plant listen to natural sounds of the forest and the plant that had the heavy metal music out grew the other plants by a long shot

so i guess it does work

yeah haha i got it pumpin eazy e on repaeat all day haha i have a 10 inch sub hooked up too it thought itwould give it a lil extra bass haha cant hurt well see what happens more pics in couple days

plant 3 (the one with the leaves drooping) has some leaves starting to point back up more and plant 1 is showing nice pistils im excited to see what the budz will turn out too ... the lights are off now and i cant wait to open it up and check em out in the morning its seriously the best part of my day hahahaha
