Glow Panel 45 vs. Sun Systems 150W

I'm about a month in on my first grow. I was using two 150W Sun Systems HPS. After researching and researching I have found out HPS is NOT for VEG. I purchased a Glow Panel 45 on a whim when buying my gear. I have switched over to the glow panel. Now researching the glow panel it seems as though it will not be enough light? I have two plants about 12" tall. Im hoping on some advice whether or not I should keep the glow panel in there for the rest of veg and switch back over to HPS for flower? OR just use the HPS for the entire grow. I've spent A LOT of money on this first grow so buying new lights is not an option. Thanks!

hps is not for veg. more weed less crack plz
HPS is fine for veg. Much better than led or cfl. Only slightly worse than MH. Try to get a horticultural hps lamp with extra blue. You can also just put a MH lamp in your hood for veg.

The hps will finish your veg this run no problem, pick up a mh when you can afford one.
Using 150's and your plants are already 12" tall, your veg time is just about up anyways. With the 150 canopy control should be your major concern at this point. With a small wattage bulb your best growin' light is within 12" of the bulb. So the flatter your canopy is the better yield you'll get in the end.

lies you dont need a MH for any reason, I veg with a 400 watt hps and flower with a 600 watt hps. MH bulbs just make your plants node to node distance shorter, and the hps make them longer.

While this is true, it's also true that shorter internodal spacing will give you denser bud.

I've vegged under hps lights many times without a problem. They work just fine. I've never used led's though so I can't comment on them. I don't comment on something I haven't tried....

Yeah, know what you mean... I have one of those (it was the cheapest thing I could get and I wanted better than just CFL for the flowering stage) Going after a 400 watt MH for veg and 600 HPS for flowering. Solis-Tek 600 watt dimable will allow me to do this, according a description on one site. Anyone want to buy a real cheap sun systems 150 HPS??? $40.00 LOL

edit: I hear that a couple of 4 foot T5's are great for vegging. Cheaper than LED.

hps is ok to veg with too. Chem dog tends to stretch. When you say you have 4ft I dont know if you mean from the bulb to the soil line.. or total, but dont wait till they get to 2 feet unless your going to be tying them over.

i have two plants going in my 3x3x6 tent. i have not kept a journal but they are roughly 5 weeks old and 11" tall (measured today). they stunted a bit because lack of nutes (fixed) and stunted some more because i waited a little too long to transplant. so 6 ft total but 1' are the 5 gallon pots and 1' at the top for lights maximum height. not sure when to though into flowering. some advise on this as well would be awesome
