My buds smell like a zoo

I had to harvest a day after I fed with tigerbloom because I finally got a microscope and a lot my trichs were amber colored. I hung the buds and dried them and they've been in mason jars for 4 days. The buds are full of frosty trichomes and if you break one open it smells super dank but from the outside they have an unpleasant zoo smell. They taste shitty too but have a great high. Did I screw up the flavor forever by not flushing or do you guys think the good smells will come out? After 4 days in the jar they are looking fantastic but the smell is no better...they smell like elephant dung lol

That could be, they feel very dry to the touch though and crunchy on the outside..but sticky on the inside.

Yeah just have them jarred, It can take a good while before it hits its prime

The jars, if done properly, will bring out the flavor and mellow the harshness.

Are you sure you dried them properly?
In a dark room with steady temp and RH levels?
And for a long enough time (a good dry take around a week)?

It sounds like you might've jarred up the buds too quickly and you don't mention burping the jars.
You should watch out for mold.

And read up on drying and curing in the stickies.

It seems to be perfectly dry but the majority are telling me the same thing I hung dried them in a closet with fans blowing but not directly on the buds for 4 days. They weren't huge buds the biggest was 28 g wet. They were crunchy feeling on the outside. They are smelling much better now after a week in the jars
