Ive started a couple threads, in attempt to stary a grow journal, but i lost the treads. So... Here she is, yes she showed sex about three days ago. Im running 110 total watts of light, 3 23w cfl, 2 13w cfl and a 15 w led panel. So far everything is going rather smooth. Smoother than i expected. This is my first attempt at LSTing a plant, and it has locked me in! This is the best method i have ever found! Well here she is from just a couple hours ago. IMAG0250.jpg

I honestly have no idea what the starin is. It was a seed from a really good bag my buddy got. It was pretty stony stuff too so im hoping for the best. My real concern is the amount of light im using. Its working for now but im hoping to double my output with y splitters and more bulbs. But... We will see. I havnt fed her once cause im using Miracle Gro orchid mix, and it has slow release nutes. So im just feeding honey with every watering for the rest of flowering. Maybe try and find some black strap. Any suggestions?

I have some plants that are also 2weeks into flowering....using very small doses of MG bloom booster and grandmas unsulferded molasses....I have about 650actual cfl Watts mixed spectrum on 2 flowering plants...20121106_185428.jpg....20121106_185440.jpg20121026_140036.jpg...36 days old from seed in these pics

Hey those are some happy lookin plants. How tall are they? Cant tell in the pics. They look nice n bushy though. I need more lights. 110w is from the "watts used" number. At least thats how i add them up. But 110w is so not enough for me. Im hoping tjat if i double tje lights, i may get a decent yield off of this little lady.

Thats my thought. Lights are the most important part, but sje is growing so well. Im going to try to get more in a couple weeks. For now, 110 is doing its job. But 220 would be WAY nicer. Im hoping to get maybe an oz or so off this one whatcha think? I havnt fed once throughout the grow, but im adding honey to the water for flowering until i can get osome molasses. But idk what else i can feed. Im using MG Orchid mix with slow release nutes. So i dont want to fry this late in.

Ive also been defoliating as the leaves shade bud sites, what are your thoughts on the subject? And a quick Q for ya, under all of my main colas there are like 6 or 8 other branches trying to grow, but they arent streatching out from the main stem, any way to coax them out? my lights are as close as i want them cause this thing has streatched aboit 6" since i threw 12/12 on her. But it looks like i have a whole nother bush growing under there. You can kinda see it int the pic ^^

Yeah I trim a leaf here n there to expose bud sites....but not much...I've been tucking more lately than cutting...mine shot up bout 8 inches since flowering....they've slowed the last couple days n the buds are forming better...

I'm at day 14 of flower today and stretching has slowed...buds becoming more defined

How did you get it to grow so big with such little lighting? I have good soil (didn't germinate seeds), planted two seeds about an inch under, and it's been sitting from 6-12 inches away from a 200w lightbulb for almost six days and nothing has happened yet. Any tips? This is my first try ever lol

What kind of bulb is it? Cfl? If its a cfl id move the light to about 4" away. And by 200w is it actual watts or incandesent equivelance?... As for my setup, i have 110 total watts on my plant. The watts im counting are the wattss that the cfl buld uses, not the = to watts. But i have mylar-like material surrounding my olant, thats the key with cfls, you have to keep your lights close.and you have to reflect as much light as possible. Trap the light around your plant so that lunens do not get wasted. Cfls work best at 2-4" and all the light that isnt on your plant, is just being wasted... But be patient with your seed. I do the same, in-soil germination, make sure the soil stays wet, but not soaked. Then put a sandwich bag ove the cup or pot, like a green house. The seed can NOT dry out.

Well, a little update, about 2.5 or 3 weeks into flower and things are movin right along. View attachment 2409599

The buds are starting to form. Still
small, but they grow bigger everyday. Im kinda wondering how much im gonna yield from this plant. Im about to double my lights in a week or two. But with how well she has been growing, im thinking my buds wont look too bad for the lights im using.

About 5 weeks into flower now. Still using the same 110w of cfl, but she seems to be liking it. The buds are looking nice, this is the first plant ive gotten this far, so im sute the buds could look better. But i guess more light would have helped that out a little. Got some Grandmas unsulphered molasses a couple days ago, so im hoping tuat helps fatten em up a little. IMAG0125.jpgIMAG0127.jpg
Pics are a couple days ago, they have started to fatten up a little. Im hoping for this last two or so weeks she will do some work on plumping up.

Looking nice. Probably even better now.
I've been using unsulfured molasses too.

Thanks, they do look better than in the pic. Honey and molasses do roughly the same thing, feed the micro organizms with sugar so they can process more stuff. Their excriment is really good for plants.
