Space between cubes nft

There gonna hit cant help that in nft, it doesnt matter one little bit. How far the space between cubes goes depend on how long you're gonna veg for. Could fill your table with x amount and do a SOG or half a dozen plants and grow bigger girls. Many ways to go with it the choice is yours but dont worry about the roots becoming tangaled with each other, it aint a problem.

Yes mate. You can do basically what you like in one of tho's. Cram it with 40 or 50 small cuts and do a SOG grow or grow a few smaller plants say 6/7 in each gully or even couple of large trees. Thats the thing i like about NFT you aint restriced in how you grow. How many you thinking of running.

hey guys, sorry to intrude on your thread. I'm new to nft growing and I really need some tips. it seems to be very ppm sensitive. I'm using gh 3 part with r.o water and i'm getting deficiencies. If I up my ppm i'm getting burn, what's the answer to over come that? Any other tips would be great.

You need a low PPM with RO. I use RO, so start off small dose and keep an eye on your EC, its handy to have a EC meter that sits in the res and gives you a constant read out that way you can get your shit dialed in pronto. Only up your EC when you see the EC drop, so if its saying 0.4 ec in the moring and its still saying that at night leave alone your just over doing things to quickly man. If it drops shitloads then up the EC till you find the sweet spot. Never used GH3 part nutes but they are supposed to be decent so have you checked your PH. What are these deficincies, some nutes need more cal\mag with RO so are you adding extra dont know much about the 3 part nutes but sensi grow is good with RO.

I have a meter in my Rez at all times, Ph 5.8...not sure if its nitrogen View attachment 2405294View attachment 2405296View attachment 2405297or Cal/mag
Cant go wrong with a bluelab, i'd start off with low dose of grow nutes and note down the PPM, set ya ph to 5.8 and watch the meter. If the PPM drops quickly then top up with a slighly higher dose and again watch your meter, if you find the PPM rising then your nute strength is too high and your plants are dumping nutes back into the res which is causing your PPM to rise so dilute down with plain RO water this will also cause burning on your plants so if you have thos two things your over doing it. Its all about watching ya plants and keeping an eye on your meter, when you understand how meters work they are great tools and allow you to quickly dial your grow in. You will find what growers call the sweet spot, this is where your ppm kinda stays constant, there will be no major shift in the readings. It will always drop if things are going well but it shouldnt be anything dramatic. For early veg my EC is around 0.4 if this helps give you a rough guide. Dont think you have anything major happening except your over doing things slightly, your PPM seem high for thos young plants especially as your using RO, have the PPM droped at all if so how big a drop.

No drop in ppm. When I grew in flood and drain my ppm would go up as the plant drank. So I would add water to bring the ppm back down. I don't know what 0.4 ec converts to. If I lower the ppm I Get deficiencies. What do you recommend my ppm should be?

If your PPM is rising then its too much mate, flood n drain, nft, dwc doesnt matter. PPM on the rise means its too hot for the plant to handle, only when it drops does it mean there takin in nutes and asking for more. This is probably why you have the problems you do mate, you have it the wrong way around. Do what i said is the previous post and you should be fine:lol:. 650 PPM is about 0.8 ec so its high for young plants using RO, even when im in full flower my PPM/EC never really goes above that. Drop it down one and watch what the meter says, your looking for a drop.
