Pulley System for Raising & Lowering Lights ...

Can someone help by posting picture or a diagram how to set up a pulley system for raising and lowering lights please.

I have used the Yo Yo gadgets in the past but you have to step over your plants or move them to be able to use them.

I am looking for a pulley system that I can tie off on a side wall to raise and lower lights so I don't have to step over all the plants and adjustments can be made along a wall.

Thanks for your help.

Happy New Year and all the best with your farming this year. May all your dreams come true this year !!!

Pulley on the ceiling above the lights, then a bit of rope which can be wound around one of those double hook thingy's.

I wont post a picture because of all this gps shit with cell phones but, I put eye bolts and pulleys above my grow and then 2 hooks on the side wall close to my set-up to tie the cord to. I use a nylon parachute cord to hang my lights and be sure your cord is long enough to lower your light all the way to the floor or table under it.

Look up "easy rollers" well that's what there called at my local hydro store there about £10 but makes life so easy just literally moves light up and down with no fiddling with knots and so on. I broke one a wile ago my fault but went out and brought some straight away as there really usefull. EBay wil have. Marcy

Those won't work for what he's trying to do. Like he said, he wants to be able to pull a cord remotely without having to get up close to the light by moving his plants.

It's really about as easy as it seems, buy a couple hooks, secure to overhead beams... hang pulleys from hooks... buy a couple rope cleats (proper term for those double-tie-off dealies--much better than hooks or nails) and secure them to studs on the wall where you want the tie offs... feed rope thru pulley and down to cleat and wrap the cleat... pretty easy...

No worries... someday I'm gonna spring for some kind of electric light lifters or electric pulleys or somethin...
