Transplant ! Or as some call it up-pot the plant .. Looks like you have a little time before it becomes root bound , so no worries as the root tips will die back and more will split off and grow within the soil ..

It means your doing something right. You have a healthy looking plant and healthy looking roots. Just transplant her into a bigger pot and keep doing your thang bro

Thanks for your quick replies!! i actually just transplanted 2 weeks ago, would it be safe to transplant again? Im thinking of adding some water into the dish... would that be a good or bad thing to do?

plant won't grow bigger in dire meter than the post its in, and weed like space for its roots, will easily grow as big of a root net as the grow over the soil, depending on your light source and space a good 3 or 5 gallon pot would serve it good, I usually use a Cup for the fist few weeks then a 3 gallon in Veg and a 5 gallon just before flowering/12/12 (I use T5HO for Veg and a 600W HPS for flowering)

also, make sure your new pot have a few nice drain holes in the bottom, weed dont like to stand in wet/moist soil all the time, roots need air..

I second this guys advise if u dont have good drainage from ur pot water will gather and rot ur roots and eventually kill ur plant . Be a shame to lose a plant over the pot u chose

Wow, thank you all for all the amazing advice!

As for Perlite, how much should i mix in the soil? lets say i mix up a 3 gallon pot (dont have enough space in my cabinet for a 5 gallon) how much perlite should i use for the 3 gallon?

I would let it fill out the pot some more before transplanting. You want to form a good root mass and if you transplant too early the roots will just shoot out to the sides and bottom and not take advantage of the volume of its final pot size.

Ok great... i'll take your advice and probably wait about a week or two before transplanting! Thanks for the input! As for the smell... what can i do about that? its starting to liven up the room a bit too much now... i heard about charcoal filtered exhaust fans? but what exactly is that?

This is a carbon filter it works by the charcoal absorbing the odors from the air . By way of negative or positive particles really affective way of dealing with unwanted odors .

Ok, transplanted my original 1 gallon to a 3 gallon now, its been about 2 days since the transplant and the roots are now coming out of the 3 gallon drainage holes!! i'll post some pics later but is this supposed to happen? why are my roots growing so quick? I have drainage holes on the bottom of the pot and also on the bottom side of the pot... and the roots are coming out from all ends! what should i do?

if the roots are coming out again after 2 days then fair play to u thats a sign that u didnt stunt the plant during the transplant . The new roots will get pruned back naturally so dont panic that it supposed to happen . the 3 gallon is big enough to be your final pot unless your still vegging them then u might want 8 r 9 gallon pots .

Below are some photos of the roots coming out of the drainage holes... looks really messy, is there anything I can do about it?

Keep doing what you're doing! Just use bigger and bigger containers. Huge root systems are what makes great plants.
