Fdd,
No I just hate humans who think the human race is above other intelligent life. We need to resect the whole planet. Animals aren't things that are here to taste good, our slaves nor amusements. If we do so, we might as well disrespect all life.
so you hate me? :(

Deprave,
If you disagree with that, yes. But I have to live with those like you. Exterminating you like you do to animals would make me no better than you.If I were to replace animals with "my family," and you disagreed, wouldn't most people get pissed?

Fuck Maddox. He means nothing and just says shit to incite. He's an amoralist. He's not funny. He's all hate. At least have a cause for whatever injustice, no matter if others think you're deluded. Hate for hate's sake is stupid.

I find maddox to be pretty funny. And I wouldn't necessarily say he's all hate either. He brought up a pretty good point in that video.

I'm late to the conversation, but how do you square the fact that all throughout nature, animals eat other animals? Just because humans have evolved and have superior intelligence (with the exception of progressives, of course) doesn't change the fact we are just animals. As a species, we have ALWAYS been omnivores and always will be. The fact we have learned how to more efficiently provide ourselves with meat sources, doesn't change the reality that it's still just one animal eating another. Do you hate lions for being lions? Nature doesn't give a fuck about morals.

I recognize and respect vegans for having the willpower and/or conviction to stick to it. But, make no mistake, what you espouse is in direct conflict to our very nature.

Cucumber,
I don't know if you knew this, but I used to be the biggest meat eater. I only practically ate meat, eggs and cheese. I hated veggies and only drank juices to get my plants. There's nothing I can do which will take back my cruelty.

That's the whole point. The lesser animals don't have the capacity to care about such things. Animals rape, and kill a rival's young. Should we do the same? It's natural afterall. We all say how cruel Michael Vick was for what he did to those dogs. Wtf?

Abandon,
There's no biological basis for morality. They've done brain scans of the criminally insane. They have a biological basis for their ACTIONS. Their actions aren't moral. Morality just is.

Nature often selects cooperation. Almost all species known exhibit cooperation in some form. Even some parasitic species. "Survival of the Fittest" is an unapt description of natural selection. The phrase was not used in later versions of On the Origin. Altruistic behavior can be witnessed mammals. Even apex predators have symbiants that are edible to them.

.A vote for Gary Johnson or Obama led to a Obama victory. If all Gary Johnson voters stayed home,Obama would've still been elected. If all Gary Johnson voters and other party voters had voted Romney, Obama would'vr lost. The logical fallacy is winner take all

...and if everyone had voted for Vermin Supreme we'd all have gotten ponies!

People who believe there is no biological basis for morality should not speak of what is natural behavior.
My point was very clear and absolutely correct. The cheetah isn't morally conflicted about eating the gazelle. Just like humans shouldn't be conflicted about eating a chicken. It is our instinct and part of our nature. There is no moral dilemma for a human to eat meat. Certain individuals can manufacture moral conflict from sources like religion or some other perceived and just as fictitious moral high ground. But throughout our long past, very few humans have endured sleepless nights, racked with guilt over a meal that included meat.

Like previously stated, it's fine for you if that's your choice. But, I pay no more attention to a vegan's scorn over my food choice, than I do to a religious zealot's forecast of my impending slow burn in hell.

you just defeated you're own argument.

you chose not to eat meat based on YOUR own feelings, not the animals. the animals don't hate you for eating them, they accept it as fate.

Fine, eat meat, idgaf, it's good for you, it is natural. But if morality is not biological, why do mother cheetahs teach their young how to hunt?

See, I'm not the religious zealot by any means, I disagree with your stance as I disagree with Canna's. Morality is not some special gift from God to Man only, it is part of evolution.
