Feminine seed consistency.

From personal experience & from which breeder, how have your feminine seeds done?
% of female
% of hermies :peace:

I have used feminized seeds exclusively for about three years. I've had 3 plants hermi in that time. One was a BF's Blue Cheese which made about 3 seeds. One was a Flying Dutchman Nepal Kush which ended up with 4-5 seeds. The 3rd was a La Confidential which made some pollen sacks but no seeds around the 10th week. All could have had issues because of something I did to them. I haven't had any female seeds turn up male.

As long as they germed and/or did not dud out. I have not had any males nor have i had any hermaphrodites. A period of over 6 years from the following seed companies Greenhouse Seeds, Delicious Seeds, G-13 labs, Barney's Farm, Dinafem, Samsara, Big Buddha Seeds, TH Seeds, World of Seeds, DNA Genetics, Reserva Privada, CH9 seeds, KC Brains Seeds, White Label Seeds, and Nirvana Seeds. Hmm wonder if i typed them all.

That's promising Calicat, what strain did you get from WL seeds? I haven't had seeds since flying to Amsterdam & then Vancouver 20 or so years ago. Is it autos that are more unstable, I thought I've heard some people not buying Fem. seeds for some reason? With that kind of experience with seed breeders, female is the way to go. Thanks
I'm looking at:
Sugar Black Rose - Delicious
Northern Lights - White Label
Blue Berry - Spliff
Grand Daddy Purple - Connoisseur (when available)

I have had 3 herms out of multitudes of fem seeds. All 3 were directly due to me. On one I had a light leak. 2nd time, my local tap water changed, and by the time I figured out my water had gone from 7ph to 9.5ph my plants were in bad shape. Ended up with some spitting seeds.

White label gear I have tried their White Skunk and White Diesel. And in terms of autos I have only done several dozen from just a handful of companies. I am sure there are many more experienced auto flower growers in this community. Its mostly preference in regards to feminized and regular seeds. If I had the room(s) I would always do regular seeds because it would be easier to cull them out. Not to mention based on my experience (assuming the breeder your dealing with is reputable) the genetics are more solid with regular seeds. Feminized seeds is a short cut but there is that risk of hermaphroditism which varies from seed company/breeder.

One G-13 blueberry gum was male [out of 2]. Other than that, all fems were fems - the most impressive RP Confidential Cheese, DNA Lemon Skunk. CH9 White Shark, Dinafen OG Kush and Blue Widow, GHS Exodus.

Have you had an opportunity to try alot of CG's gear? In 2014 I plan on doing at least one of their strains. I loved growing GDP but it was from clones I got from our well now closed dispensary.

I got a fem power plant from Dutch treat, I've picked out like 50 seeds. The plant was huge like went from 18 inches to Luke 5 feet! It had huge colas nice plant really I pulled 7 ounces. That was the biggest yield off one plant I've ever got. Really nice smoke Stoney. But seedy. Do you guys know if those seeds would be good to grow. I have one more going and kept a clone. I'm just making sure its not something I'm doing wrong. It takes 70 days to finish. A long time. So I hope this time the energy is put into the dank instead of the seeds. Any info would be appreciated. Also GDP from seed is an amazing strain.

Very likely they will be hermie seeds. You could give it a try but chances are the slightest stress will send them into hermie.

i had cracked like 2 or 3 of the sour hazy jones awhile ago but they were all males, reg seeds though, so i pulled them... that's all i've grown from them other then the gdps, but i know a few people on here that have some of their gear and everyone seems to say the same thing.. very solid and potent bud for the most part..
i'd like to get that strawberry dogshit they just dropped, and a few other things from them..

you had me going for a second. I have been looking for a strain called Oregon Dogshit for years and thought they may have used that in the cross...after looking its not in the mix. Oh well, i will keep on looking.

ive had real good luck with Greenthumb...a few nanners here and there but not bad at all. I just had some gear from barneys farm and roit seeds go hermie on me but i havent popped enough from them to say its always like that.
