Anyways due to some certain circumstances my next grow is being down sized and even more upgraded and the original idea was 3 600wers but is now reduced to 1 600wer and the possibility of throwing in a 400wer for extra coverage but i was wondering about light movers and peoples experiences with them.
I understand light coverage is all about the light+reflectors foot print and that using a light mover can possibly slow flowering times due to the canopy not having the direct light 24/7 and it is ineffective with a reflector that causes a foot print directly down with little light being spred out, but was wondering if using a cooltube with a smaller wing reflector attached would give more side lighting giving a better coverage overall or should i stick to an closed air cooled hood and have the light moving on a smaller track and less distance then a cooltube with a longer distance at a faster speed?
to get an idea of the room imagine a 4x8 flood tray with 1 600w covering 4' x 3.5' stationary and with a light mover and a cooltube id assume no more than a 4' x 5' with the light only moving around 6-8inches each direction from the stationary position over a 6-9 plant SCRoG with plants no higher than 30"in, or possibly a SoG with like 30 plants~ (not to sure how many maybe 40-50 depending on effectiveness of the light mover)
Anyways if anyone has used one of these and has some information worth bringing to light feel free to post.
