I was going to replace the White Widow with Jilly Bean, and Querkle, I really love TGA Genetics!!! I have trouble cutting a strain so I can try a new one. I'm still very new and I feel like I need to try as many strains as I can until I find the ones that I like and work the best for me. Spacebomb is definitely one of them. She forms trichomes almost immediately after her first hairs, amazing.

Take clones of all your plants before they go into flower and keep them in veg. Then if you find that special plant you'll have a fresh vegetative clone of it ready to go. Rockwool cubes work great for this.

I've seen other reports of flower cuts going haywire by others before, so it may be a chance, but it is the exception rather than the rule. As in veg, take multiple cuts so you can be sure to get one that's good (my flower success clone rate is about the same as my veg rate) --but the cutting being different is going to be rare unless the mom is under stress or the cutting is not treated properly. It does take time for the reveg to take -- intermediate growth will NOT look like mom. I've seen rounded leaf edges like normal plants before the reveg fully takes. You gotta wait it out til the original returns. That's why I said it's not worth the wait... even first reveg growth is not normal usually then it returns to normal after a week or two in the intermediate stage. If you don't have the patience to play it out, revegged cuts or flowered plants are not for you. :) If you've got no other choice than to lose an awesome plant, why WOULDN'T you take cuts even to see, know what I mean? Worst case scenario is no worse than losing the plant completely. You just gotta be on the ball and take and keep up with your veg cuts so this is not necessary :) A lesson I learned after a round of taking flower cuts almost exclusively.

The one great thing about a flower cut is if it doesn't survive you just leave the cutting til fully dried then you can smoke the bud if you like, or turn it into hash, whatever. I smoked buds off of a revegged plant and they smoked just fine other than being a bit harsh because i had fed it a bit of N a few days before.

Matt Rizes ice wax is really amazing. With the right technique you can get amazingly pure, organic dabbing wax. It's also interesting how similar it looks to BHO, which is really a testament to how butane selectively dissolves the best parts of the bud it seems. I can envision the day when large amounts of indoor bud are made into tubs of pure ice wax. Perhaps even distributed in small toothpaste tubes.
I know that if I wanted to store or transport large amounts of bud, I would greatly reduce it's size by making it into ice wax and freezing it. Ice wax dabbing may be the safest delivery method if you can keep it under control.

they sure as shit wouldn't delete mine :(

I got a question for sub and some of the more knowledgable nerds... I notice a lot of sub's flower shots on the weed nerd the trichs REALLY stand out at a distance from the bud almost like little hairs. Most bud I see (both mine and others on this site) the trichs are small and retract close to the bud on drying. Most people's buds are covered in sugar. Sub's and one or two others seem to be covered in little sugar redwood forests. I seem to remember some bud I got a long ways back that was like that was reaaaaal potent. Never see bud like that here normally in the occupied republic of texas.

A) What causes this difference? Is it in the drying or the growing?
B) Does it affect potency or just looks?

If this is something you don't have time to post about sub, would be more than happy to see you address it in a future weed nerd.

Handling... touching your buds all the time, roughing them up. if you jar them up and you are gentile with the process you will retain that look. The moment someone puts it in a baggy or handles it too much the heads get smashed.

you put buds in a jar like this it comes out of it like this:

You make the trichs really stand out by adding sugar. You add sugar by punching the sharpness button.
i know you're joking but i'm not... in my experience so far everything TGA puts out has tons of resin :) these are some of mine -- they look great to me of course, but they do not look as great to me as sub's - to me most of the buds I see on the weed nerd look like the stalks of the trichs are like twice as tall as mine and stand tall like proud trees... could just be rougher handling possibly, and certainly my grow conditions are not as optimal as subs... i've seen lots of great flowers posted but very few that have that distinctive look to the trichs that sub's does. i don't have near the experience or skill level of sub, just hope to get there someday -- gonna be a while since i am not growing currently :) doesn't take my curiousity away

looks good, but I get what you are saying... some strains are just like that (my Bubba Kush x Querkle for example) but usually you see it because the resin heads aren't fully developed and people cut them too early.

The batch of pics above had some grow issues for sure, but i've never produced any that looked quite as good as subbies even without issues... but I guess we all can't grow like sub when the # of harvests you've done are still in the single digits... ;) Had a feeling some of it may be strain related too, but seems like most of sub's stuff has that great look :) At least tga genetics make those of us newer at it look better than we are... the non-tga strains I've grown out this year -- not one was as good as any TGA strain I grew in my opinion in terms of looks or potency -- actually that's not true white russian from serious was pretty damn good in all respects but the rest i would've rather had tga stock in there.

Gotta aspire to get higher :weed:

also, Subcool is growing his keepers...TGA genetics are dank out of the box, but i would cut one of my pinky fingers off for 10 of Sub's personal rotational keepers....
