Does HPS make a difference over MH during bloom?

Hello fellow humans! Im growing 6 super siler haze plants under 3 250w metal halide bulbs at 4100k, 20,800 lumens each. Im considering adding a 4th MH of equal specs for the budding phase coming tomorrow. My question is- is it worth the cost to add a HPS bulb instead of a MH? If so, is it worth converting the other 3 bulbs to HPS? (And yes, you can buy HPS grow bulbs that are designed to screw into MH mogul ballasts). I know my current output is sufficient, but will the plants benefit noticably from HPS's red-shifted spectrum?

Thanks!

well dude....i would suggest one 1000 watt but sense your using couple of diferent ones its ok too...but personaly...in one room i have 4 1000 watts....2 are mh and 2 are hps so my plants get a greater light spectrum.....i use this for both flower and veg and all my patients love the dense nugs..just remember week 5 of flowering remove 80 percent of the fan leaves so the light seeps into the buds, will make them way denser....lol anyway....good luck and make sure u provide enough air and enough food...lots of lights more nutes...look at feed chart and feed agressive...and work ur way up to it...i use base nutrients from house and garden A and B and the go to advanced nutrients for inhacers....

Pretty sure it promotes bud stretching and is more natural to theyre flowering sunlivght. It definetly increases your yield

You get higher bud yield with HPS. MH is best for veg stage. and as tony says with both you get higher yields.

HPS also tend to produce more lumens/watt. My 250w powerplant bulb is rated at 29,000 lumens. That equates to an energy/efficiency saving of about £7 per harvest so the bulb pays for itself purely in electric.

wow, i am surprised to find such dicks to be alive. I thought only middle schoolers make "your mom" jokes...

anywhoo, i know someone that does a huge commercial grow, he gradually replaces his MHs with HPS during flowering.. i've seen some good results from him. Personally, i just use HPS for simplicity and good results..

You can also use t-5 6000k spectrum bulbs in that there room with the hps...shhhhhh i do it and it works REALLY well! 600 hps usually for a 4x4 sqaure area max imho, then i add 100-160 watts of t-5 blue spectrum 6k. Lots of fun to play with, try not to get so damn serious or feed into the negativity that can sometimes permeate the threads. I thought tony montana was a coke dealer? whats he doin growin grass?
