TGA - Chernobyl

What's goin on RIU, I have to girls of Chernobyl that r 24 days into bloom right now n I was lookin for some help identifying which way they're leaning. both were topped once, the one stayed pretty short n got wide, busy, n is very sturdy. The other grew a bit faster in veg n when it went into bloom it shot up n it dbl the height of its sister but obv it didn't bush out like it, it has three main heads n that's bout it. Now I know this strain isn't stable so u can't tell me exactly how long it will take or specifics like that I'm just trying to see which is JTR dom n which is blood wreck dom. Any responses will be appreciated, thanks

Both parents are hybrids but the JTR is the more sativa dom. I believe.... A picture would help us out a lot better, even a cell phone pic would be good but just go to tgagentics.com (i think thats the web addy) but look at the pics of jack the ripper, you should be able to see some resemblance, if not its probably the bloodwreck pheno or more of a mix... The TW pheno has a fatter leaf structure but that really doesnt mean to too much, it could still be more jtr once the buds start to form... in about another week you will know for sure but if you post some pics someone can tell you what you have going.... TGA strains are stable, they just dont like to be over fed, the ones that like to eat will let you know by showing deficiencies in the leaves..., the ones that dont will herm on you as will most any strain......

Its an awesome strain, good choice...

Thanks, n when I sd not stable I meant that there r a many phenotypes. It wasn't saying it was shitty or nething like that, I've only seen fire from Chernobyl grows. hey man, so right now i have 6 phenos of Chernobyl going... Only one turned big colors the way Bloodwreck does... With that said though, it was the TALLEST plant ive ever grown, so thats kinda shoots the JTR being taller in the foot. The other 5 were mostly green with a little color, all with a full range of short to tall. All varying degrees of lime to lemon to earthy. What im getting at is, to me, it looks like theres going to be just flat hybrids of dank. Different characteristics of each, in a way that makes it hard to say, "oh thats the JTR, or the Bloodwreck". I have one right now that is short and kinda slow growing, but smells like cherry/lime, and is FIRE crystalline. My point is fuck it, wait till they both finish, and then pick the one that fits your needs best. Tall or bushy, Lemon or Lime, Green or Red, tailored to your garden. Cool thing is that EVERY seed has its own unique set of combos. So the Chernobyl that you find, that you pick, will be yours.

I have run several phenos from a friends 10 pack and they were all quite different, more importantly they were all incredibly resinous. This is one of the best crosses of train wreck I have run. period.

Both my phenos r gettin very resinous alrdy, they look great. I got mothers of both so I'll pick my fav at the end. I can't imagine one of em not being a keeper. These n 2 phenos of tres sister I have goin, which r distinct when it comes to phenos, r right up there w.the Sensi star w.trich production at this age. N the Sensi was the frostiest plant I've ever grown. The chem d pheno n the shorter of the 2 Chernobyl have frost goin down the top 7-8 inches of the stem, n the chem sis pheno n taller of the 2 chern aren't far behind. All 4 alrdy have frost showin pretty heavy on every sugar leave n starting nice on the fan leaves as well. I'm happy I cracked these Chernobyl, I had em sittin around for bout a yr n decided to crack 3 n got 2 girls n there both beautiful. Unfortunately bc of space issues I had to kill 2 phenos of tres sis bc I wntd to keep both Chernobyl but the healthiest n most vigorous were very dif even in veg n I knew I had one of each, which is what I wntd so it was a successful run so far. Got 4 extremely healthy, beautiful n frosty girls. N got some road kill unicorn n Bianca fire bout to come out of the dome n into veg do between Chernobyl tres sister Bianca fire n road kill unicorn I'm Gna have my girls to keep around indefinitely. Possibly some chucking w.bianca fire n RKU dudes. Im rly excited w.these, nvr ran chems b4, nor any Bohdi or GGG. N all the Chernobyl I've seen has been amazing, at least on the eyes n mine r lookin to do the same. Hoping between these 4 strains to find that lifetime keeper, which I dnt think will be too hard

ha...i gave up on it too....just don't have the patience like i used too i guess....so Oriah, how have your yields been across the board with Chern?.....mine are thin leaved and tall....one is fucking TALL...like my whole room is built around this bitch....both are lemon lime, and uber frosty...but they do seem like they may be light yielders.....you get a med/heavy one yet?

Ive only pulled down one so far, but she was id say a solid medium. But she was a little too close to the light, so i think that had a negative impact on her yield.
Got another that im about to pull down that looks like maybe light/medium. She has very little smell though, so that ones a non keeper for me.

Kinda what I was trying to say but it didnt work out, I grew out 4 chernys from seed and not 1 looked similar to the other but they all had some characteristics of both parents, 2 kinda looked similar but thats about it... None turned colors because in my infinite wisdom I didnt time it right for proper fading... But one thing they all shared was super resin covered nugs, although they all looked different, they were all dank...

To me stable means turning bisexual or not, TGA's strains consist of 2 parents, aka regular seeds and not feminized can exhibit traits of both parents as well as recessive traits that dont show up all the time, it can be a mutation of some sort like a few of TGA's strains grow buds out of the center of the leaf once in awhile, obviously it can be a million different things but thats just an example. Feminized seed in most cases is a plant thats been selfed, meaning one way or another its only going to have 1 set of genetics so there isnt going to be to much variance in phenotypes, which is why when you run feminized seeds, you'll get plants that look a lot alike, I believe... (please someone correct me if I'm wrong)... But because with 2 plants being bred as TGA does, you have 2 sets of genetics and all sorts of stuff I'm not qualified to explain but I'll try..... Think of it like 2 people having a kid, now that kid shares traits of both parents, it may look more like mom or dad, but has traits of both.... now they have another kid yet same parents but kid #2 looks totally different yet still looks like both parents....... I am trying to explain a very small part in very layman terms.... Subcool has a lot of writing on it, read up, its worth it.... And is a big reason why I dont run fem seeds... it just aint right... I have and will run them again.... dont get me wrong, but I would much rather be able to choose the phenotype I want...

I have 2 phenos of Chernobyl, 2 phenos of top dawg - tres sister of which one is chem d dominant and 1 is chem sister dominant. I also just put 5 seedlings of Bohdi - road kill unicorn and GGG - Bianca Fire into veg. Hopefully I can find some keepers that I'll keep around for a long time, and if lucky enough find a good male from the RKU or Bianca Fire to throw some pollen on the best ladies.

I also have 2 phenos of dairy queen in bloom the same age as ther Chernobyl and tres sister but it's uimpressive compared to the Chernobyl and tres sister. And I was sayin I've never had the pleasure of growing any top dawg, GGG, or Bohdi before now n had good success w.TGA so I'm excited for the next few months. The Chernobyl and tres sister are EXTREMELY frosty, especially for being 25 days old.

Whitey - I got what u meant after, that's y i explained that I only meant it wasn't stable in that it was going to only give me 1-2 phenos that u guys cld give me specific info on. It wasn't an insult directed at subcool or TGA or anyone for that matter. I've had good experience w.TGA and w.how the Chernobyl phenos look I'm expecting more of the same. And once again I use my phone to post, I didn't realize how the post came out

Ok let me correct myself bc I feel like I offended u guys by saying the strain wasnt stable. I know it isn't true breeding, I was just asking if u guys cld help me identify which plant was leaning to which parent. I said that just so u guys knew I wasn't lookin for bloom time, yield etc. I thought this wld be the place to ask, but like I said it was NOT an insult directed at anyone. The only breeder I can think of who is inbreeding to f1, f2, f3 etc is sannie. So that wld be a knock on every strain I just listed that I'm running. Just wntd to clear that up.

I have grown many Subcool strains and have had great luck with em . The chernobyl I grew were frostier then hell. Not a great yielding plant but made up for it in potency and taste. I did have one that was not stable and hermied on the leaf which screwed my room bad with pollen. I have never seen a hermie on a leaf before so I didn't catch it right away which makes me look bad. I been growing since 08 and I am no pro , but this is the first strain I have ever had problems with . I explained about this a few months ago on a tga thread and was tore into for not being a good grower, But I know it was the strain not being stable and not me. I will never grow this strain again. Gave me pollen problems bad. I sterilized my rooms alot with bleach and water etc few months ago and I had 2 auto's have seeds and right now I hope I got rid of the pollen. So far my plants that are about to go into flower have shown no signs of pollen and all have white hairs so far so have my fingers crossed they aren't pollinated . I have been fighting this pollen and done everything I could possibly Imagine. I will stick with my Arcata Trainwreck if I want to get that trainwreck taste and potency. It has just as many trichs and grows nice tight heavy buds and nice yields and is stable . May throw a few nanners at its end but never have had any pollen thrown out , just what it does. I check my leaves and nodes now no matter what but makes me feel better that I know I have 0 plants that are prone to grow buds/nanners on leaves when there are a shit ton of leaves on plants. This is my experience and I am not Blaming Subcool but I do think chernobyl needs a lil more work done to it Imo. Like I said I have grown over 10 of his other strains and never had a problem. Another bad unstable strain is dutch passion blueberry I will stay away from. That plant never got to screw my grows up because I caught it in time , I learned that lesson a few years ago.

ftrfta - thanks for the response I appreciate it for sure. My Chernobyls are now on day 26 n they're very frosty alrdy, w.this round I have in now that are the same age are def the 4 most beautiful plants I've ever had at this age. It's quite stunning actually.

I had the little bud on my leaf w.my ace of spades bout 9-10 months ago. No bananas on it but I do know what u mean. From what I hear the space queen male can be a little sensitive but that's just what I read on another forum. I ran a cheese quake pheno for bout 9-10 months bc I ran it w.the ace of spades except I forgot to clone 2 ace girls(u can't imagine how mad I was they were PERFECT), but that cheese quake girl was honestly herm proof. I forgot to raise a light one day n I burned the one top bad, n I mean bad. I was waiting for it to throw man parts, my fault obv but it nvr did n nvr did at all while I had her it was great.

But when I cracked 5 beans of vortex, I got 2 girls who grew great. Very frosty, decent yielders, n the potency was fantastic. The Apollo 13 Dom girl I was IN LOVE with. It was perfect in every way. The high was like a super mind fuck w.amazing body relaxation, it had a nice peppery smell, n the smell transferred to taste along w.a little bit of fruitiness. It's all I smoked for like 2 months. The space queen Dom girl had a great smell n taste as well but the high wasn't to my liking, it was rly nice but one hit too many n the paranoia set in n it was no fun. That girl also threw bout 4 bananas round week 6 but I just picked em off n they nvr came back. So it was all good, no seeds anywhere just great smoke. I still got 4 more beans of it I'll run one day but I also got motas Apollo 13 f4's to run and to say I'm excited is a huge understatement lol...they're up next

N from my experience on RIU, subcool has some very loyal fans. Anytime I've seen a hermie post w.his gear there's a bunch of ppl sayin it was grower error n cldnt be on the breeder. If u wna voice ur opinion bout something like that, this is NOT the place to do it lol. It's actually kinda funny I remember some1 made a thread sayin vortex was the shittiest strain ever or something n sub and about 20 others jumped down his throat hard, but he went bout it like a prick. I thought vortex was awesome, loved it, but my space queen pheno thru out a cpl bananas but when I picked em they stayed away so it was cool. But if u dnt do it like that dude did tlkn shit I can imagine it wld go better than it did for him. It is subs forum tho so ppl do need to at least realize that

i have 1 now and its a medium yeilder at best. super frosty and definitely lemon lime. she gets tall and stretchy but does good if topped and trained. most of the phenos we ran through were tall and lanky but some had shorter node distances than others. overall i like it alot and the smoke is good. probably my fav tga strain so far. did 3rd dimension and pandoras box and had herm issues with both. querkle was good but the pheno i had grew to slow for me.

Thanks farmerjoe, mine r lookin real nice so far so I'm just hopin it all stays goin well. Chernobyl was actually the TGA strain I've heard the most praise about, even from a cpl ppl who aren't fans of TGA. I'm likin the frost as of now
