Having to turn work down.

Ugh, have any of you been so busy that you have to turn work down? Between turning a wrench, my union gig, and my grows... man, I feel tapped out here. What's worse is I just picked up a gig that will have me out of town on a 2 week on, 2 week off rotation.

Now I have to deal with having someone else babysit my stuff.

What a freaking juggling act.
Too much work is better than no work.

sigh. You of all people should know it is chee-cha-ko. Cheech is that stoner that worked with Tommy.
Cheech is also short for cheechako in my personal vocabulary.

Well, that's pretty sweet. Had no idea you were just down the road as well.

Depends on where you live. Welcome to Alaska, where huge portions of the state are not on the road system. That includes the capitol, unless you count the Marine Highway. Some outsiders say, "I hear Alaska is a beautiful place." It is actually a whole lotta places. And yes, as much as I wish I lived in or near a city, I do what I can to get by in Anchorage and I really, really do enjoy the view.

You got me there - I'm a S Fla Keys boy transplanted. First got here in 1977 & knew I had to stay.
Adventures? Life memories? Reality check? - fuck yeah, this state makes them in spades !

I dig florida. That's where I dip out to when I leave Alaska. Usually the Pompano Beach area.

Scored another side gig. I guess I have to replace a mirror on my friends vehicle now. He wrecked his shit in my driveway. "FOOL!!!" I say... I moved here because I knew for a fact that driveway would fuck people up if they came down it!!! muahahahhaah! *evil laugh*

I was being more general there. Tone. So hard to put into text. I quoted you because of the road comment, and I was being all like "Welcome, everyone - this is Alaska in case you didn't know."

Gotcha. Sounds like I simply misunderstood you! :D

I suppose if you say "depends on where you live"... I could say... well, it IS Alaska... I do have snowmachines and a supercub laying around.

I've lived in Fl for too long to really say anything about it anymore lol, although I've never been to the keys or deep Miami so who knows what I've been missing lol.

Yeah, we're solid ice here now. Came down a hill to "the" three way stop in town - - - sideways !
Was in 2x coming down, put her in tow/haul mode & let the big ford diesel keep the speed in check - dude in front decides (suddenly) to take a right so I tap the brakes ever so slightly. Sideways immediately - saw the wheel some & now I'm looking at the other curb - Fuck ! Reached down & jerked the transfer case into 4H & punched the accelerator, she straightened out right away, but you should have seen the other guy at the intersection as my headlights are pointed dead ass at him.
It took a bowl just to relive this for you my friend.
Now I'm better though.

Imagine that, I was drinking some Alaskan Amber Ale and smoking on some fine purpledurple for you greatwhite. Are you in AK or in FL? I got confused between beer, weed, women, facebook, and crazy war stories from emergency road condition and dumbass driver corrections lol. There were no women in the thread don't go back and look, I just always have the things on my mind.

I thought the ice story should have given you a hint.
Its blowing 50 and around 20 degrees F.
I sure don't think the folks in good ole FL could deal with that. :-D

I've heard so much random crap in my life that ice in pompano beach wouldn't surprise me anymore. Florida can't handle Alaska, but... this Alaska boy got fried as hell in Florida. I never had sun poisoning before until I went there. I seriously thought they were screwing with me when they told me I was going to get sun poisoning from being outside. I'm like, psh.. whatever.. but no seriously, that sun killed my ass. Arizona was 20 degrees hotter and it didn't phase me.. something about that humidity that wrecks me and makes me feel like I have a huge case of "vagisitis"

Oh, thank for reminding me another great thing about Alaska.

When you live up here, you get to pick from some amazing micro brews and you don't have to drink that stuff they make to ship to the states. :)

St Elias is owned by a friend of mine. They make great house micro brews. Based out of Soldotna, AK.

I don't drink all that often. Last I had was a Chuli Stout (Denali Brewery) on nitro tap at Humpy's last December.
