Roots are established, now what?

Hi crew quick question?

i have a RDWC system with pumps in each bucket that send water from the bucket to the top of the hydroton. My roots are now established, should I turn off the top feed pumps? And why? If I should turn off can I leave the pumps in but off?

the only reason why to turn off the pump would be to prevent algae, and splashing water and to save electric and pump consumption. if it's not needed why keep it on? and if you leave it in water but not running sediments will ruin it, remove clean and store it IMO or just use it to top the res every few days

I've never done hydro before now. I have no top feeder because my hydroton is hanging about 1/2inch my solution. I've got an air stone with nutes. Never had a top feeder and my roots are taking off like wildfire.

You are essentially running a drip/DWC hybrid system. I have run many drip systems and many DWC systems but never both together. Both kick ass so I would just keep them going together.
