Plants start going yellow after 3 weeks from seed.

Sorry for posting this is my first time growing and I've been researching the possible reasons for why my plants lower fans leaves are turning yellow and then dying off and continuing up . Picture 1,2-beginning of the yellowing. Picture 3,4- Leaves almost dead on different plant from same thing.
2) Growing indoor
3) Watering schedule: Every three days (usually soil is dry on top)
4) Growing Medium: Cocoa Fibres
5) What stage of growth: 3-3.5 weeks old from seed
I am also using HESI 2.5-1.9-3.6 Hydro Growth at 1/4 the recommended dosage.

I would transfer into a larger grow medium, making sure to flush the new grow medium first, wait about 3-4 days for the plant to correct its self from the transfer (still using your 1/4 dosage while waiting 3-4 days). Then once the plant seems to be out of shock, move up to half strength.

How much water does it take to usually flush the medium? Ive read many different amounts.

Thankyou for the advice, hopefully going to walmart soon to purchase a soil tester and water tester.
A PH pen will probably be your best bet. They can be spendy if you're on a budget, but they ARE well worth it. Something to consider. Strips and drops never worked very well for me. I always needed a solid number.

Cool man, while your at it, a PPM meter wouldn't be a bad thing to get either. They make pens that will show PPM and PH. A bit more spendy but like I said, well worth it. Make sure you pick up a few packets of calibration solution. Some of those pens are out of calibration right out of the factory. It happens, so if it does, don't worry. Just re-calibrate it. Also, you'll want to keep that electrode wet or it can ruin the pen. I suggest keeping water in the cap or making sure that the tiny sponge that is at the tip stays nice and wet. Just try not to let the electrode dry up. I've ruined several pens that way.

If I ran a hydro store, I'd have PPM pens, combo pens, PH pens, etc. So, they SHOULD have them.

Went to the hydro store got a ph pen for about 35$ and some calibration liquid. He didn't have ppm pens or soil ph pens. Going to test the water when I get home

Don't worry about testing soil, especially since you have coco. You can test run-off. Most importantly, keep the pH of the water going in constant and in the right range.
