First time, a few questions (Lost coast OG)

Hi there, this is my first ever grow, currently I've wrapped a seed inside some toilet tissue and dowsed it in water, placed the wrapped parcel in a tin and placed behind my ps3 to keep it warm, have I done this correctly, ?

I think paper towel would be better, because that ass gasket is going to be hard to get off without disturbing the taproot too much.

I'm using 2 40watt cfls, growing medium will probably be multipurpose with added john innes, or should I use a different medium?

Sorry about the dumb questions I have read a lot and can't decide !

lol..basically what i do is take a paper towel fold it in half get it all wet and rung out and open it up..place seeds along the crease and refold it. press the seeds in place forming like an enclosure so they stay put and roll the paper towel around your hand so it fits perfectly into a glass. the glass has water about a third of the way up the paper towel to the seeds and you place this cup into a dark place for about a day and a half and you tip the cup around kinda swirl it every 10ish hours to make sure the paper towel never dries out...so far ive never had a freebie not germ for me knock on wood and probably over all im at maybe a 90% germ rate with this method maybe better. i would use more light unless its just one plant and for sure use an hid for flowering or your just wasting your time and money, for dirt i dont have a preference aside from something organic and go with all organic nutes...going to try a supersoil next time personally.

You could be looking at a week +. I like to place the seeds in a towel. Place the towel on a square or porus filter material. And then both of them in a larger tray. Keeps the seed in a moist environment while not fully submerged. Just wet the towel and leave a little water in the bottom tray. And of course, wait. Which is where you are now.
