...alright...My boss is 47, was married for 15 years and had a 15 year old daughter. Two years ago, he some how reconnects with the babysitter who is now 24 and they start "doing it". I might add my boss is noooo catch by any stretch. He leaves his wife for her, gets the babysitter pergo and has a fake marriage in L.V. because his divorce is not yet final. Two years later, babysitter says I want an open marriage and produces evidence of him hiring a $1000 hooker which she found on his visa...now he's up shit creek! He had to pay off two women and two children...the guy is coming too work drunk and crying all the time... he had no money, no friends because he lost them all after the first wife thing. He is so bad his lips and fingers are all spit and cracked open and he's a walking disaster. I have to lie to patients all the time and make excuses for him, I'm so worried about what will happen to him. I really try not to judge anyone. He made a hugh mistake in his life...but I don't think he should die from it, but I hope he figures a few things out before it's too late.
Talk about a shit storm. Well it sounds like he sabotaged himself pretty damn good. I have no advice. Your boss clearly just thinks about himself. That's why he's so upset, not because he fucked up, but because he could hold up the facade anymore. A house of cards is bound to collapse, and when it does you cant be mad at it, for it was inevitable. I suggest getting a new job and not worry about this guys problems.

While its good to feel and empathize with his situation, at the end of the day you should be most concerned about #1. If he can't manage his life properly and that fell apart, I see his business doing the same not long after. If he doesn't fix his problems soon, he could loose his whole career. That would mean you lose your job too. Just things to consider.

he needs rehab. and the structure it will provide to get his head straight. He made the bed he has to lie in it. Doesnt mean he has to drink it away though.
Yes, I believe it's come to that. We asked his brother to help talk to him, it made the situation only worst. He got a restraining order against him. I feel like we need to do a big intervention. At any rate, I may be out of a job real soon. At least he got a beautiful baby out of this mess, which he does love very much. I keep telling him to focus on what's best for his child and that's what's most important.

i thought it was cops who had the second highest suicide rate

edit:a dentist though really? I would think being a dentist would be good because they pay well ofcourse and they are usually in a nice calm quiet atmosphere.

That's Canadian stats...maybe different there. I get the cop thing, they have a lot to deal with and see somethings that I'm sure are unbearable...but Dentist? It's not really all that bad.

most dentists do not become dentists because they love the profession. they get in it for the money. thats never a good thing.

This is really hard to believe, where did you get these stats? I would have thought dentists had pretty good lives, make decent money, lots of time off, etc..

They dont have lots of time off. They can make insane money, way more than many doctors. But it's a tiring, unforgiving job. And many people in the intellectual world look down on dentists, and for some, they would only like to be accepted.

My dentist is a happy go lucky guy, he is off every weekend and Tuesdays I guess it all depends on the dentist. I have had the same one for the past 30 years so I am not talking from experience, but I know my Dentist seems to really enjoy his job and life.

Her life sounds like a struggle, just empathize.
hmm burgertime, i think she may not be struggling as hard as it seems, and she may be hitting the "easy" button on this one I can empathize because I have both conditions she has but I dont act like that and actually I'm med free so you think I would

I used to work at a hospital.. a couple times a year a surgeon or a theatre nurse or someone along them lines would just walk out of theatre and hang themselves off some pipes in the underground car park

I meant prescription pill free, things that alter my day to day living so i can be normal
thats probably a good thing. marijuana is likely to be safer for you than corporate created pills of which we likely do not know all the ingredients being added
