Two bag seed plants 1 month old. Can any of you see any problems or do you have any suggestions. They`re indoors, peat moss, aluminum sulfate, Bone meal, calcium and Miracle grow. CFL`s upper and lower wattage and a couple of blue grow lights,... about 750 watts in total. The brown spot or two are from bulb burns. Also, over watering may be an issue. The soil is watered about every 3 days and the foliage is sprayed twice a day with a mist.

I'm curious why you went with 750W of CFL instead of a 400W HID? I'm a CFL grower too, but I have a small cab and only around 150W total.

Drainage..your soil looks compact and u might have a potassium issue..can't tell for sure...also don't know what your space limits are,but flowering soon might be a good idea....expect em to get almost 2 times the size after you induce flowering

Thanks for the heads up on the perlite.

What makes you think there`s a shortage of potassium???

As for the lighting,...Just wanted to make certain that there was enough. No real reason other than that. Just wanted a mixture for spectrum and enough lumens to do the job.

What about trimming?? Or topping? They were started on 12/12 at the end of week 3 so thats been 8 days ago. Did that in hopes of keeping the size down. Duno if it mattered but I read a bit about it from a few articles. Really want to expand the knowledge base here. Not afraid to try so.... ???

I went with LST to keep size down. Low Stress Training - just tie the branches down. It seems to be a good method, especially with small grows and CFL. The goal is to grow the plant spread out, with a flattened canopy, instead of tall. Then you have CFL's spread out up above. SCROG is another no-trim training method.

Look around here for more info, grow journals, and so on.
