All the strains that I've grown start showing preflowers in veg once they got to a certain point. Preflowers are hairs that they will start putting out at nodes (Normally 2 a node.) if they're female. I can't say how certain they are, as the majority of seeds I've popped have been fems. I can say that all my females have had them though, and I've never had a male with them. For the OP; in my experience, it's been 40 days on the high end for preflowers. Like I said though, not a total authority on the subject; it could vary depending on strain and conditions, so I can't give you a solid timeframe. Assuming one even exists.you have to switch to flower mode to see sex. It takes three weeks and you have to have 12/12 light schedule.

I've always noticed more amber at the tops, and then slower changing of the undergrowth.Look for sex at the 3rd node. You'll notice the 2 hairs that show female/ or the one hair with 2 balls if its a male plant. The plant matures from the bottom up. You'll notice even in flower the trichromes will turn milky then translucent to amber all starting twords the bottom.
We're both right.I've always noticed more amber at the tops, and then slower changing of the undergrowth.
