Ok so I call my uncle who's in construction who I thought I was friends with, and tried to be nice and offer him a job. Honestly with good intentions. I ask my aunt to ask him if he wanted to build for me a plant light stand. I figured he has all this extra metal laying around his shop that this would be a super way for him to re use. And for my money to go towards family instead of a stranger.
The next thing I know after I tell my Aunt what plants they are she for no reason starts to be rude to me. I mean seriously what is her problem? Meanwhile I hear my uncle getting so angry that he starts yelling at the top of his lungs with disrespect about me to her saying "that's ok he can just get caught and go to jail".
I try to tell her to tell him that his statement doesn't make any sense since I have a medical card and that I will not be going to jail. But it's no use all I can keep hearing from both of them even though they have been informed of my card and the laws is "that's ok, he can just get caught and go to jail".
I tell them again about my card for a third time and then I hear her snap back at me saying that my card doesn't allow me to grow it though. I then inform her that it does in Washington state and up to 15 plants. She then says sarcastically back to me like she does about everything she is ever proven wrong about "um uh huh, are you suuuuuuuuure about that, oh it's legal you say, suuuuuuuuureeeeee it is, whatever you say". I then tell her it's not what I say at all, it's what a doctor says and it is therefore medicine. And ofcourse she ends the conversation with no apology of any kind. And more jail talk.
My questions to the forum is this:
Has anyone else experienced this negative disrespectful response from friends or family members for no reason at all too?
Does anyone know why? Because I'm baffled and can't understand it.
What do you do when the law being the law isn't proof enough of what the law is?
Does anyone know why when you speak to your elders they have a tendency to yell the repeated same misconception even AFTER being properly informed of law?
Forgive me if I'm wrong but I find it amazing that I'm almost 29 in a couple months and yet I still seem more mature then my entire family of elders.
Oh and compared to the rest of my family my Aunt and uncle are the mature ones. Now that's scary.
