People get pretty worked up about what consistency of bho is the most purged, your thoughts?
sorry trichAnother bho thread? Really
goddamn you! thats massive. did you have lots of OD knowledge before growing indo? shitt, my first colas look like your colas turds...lol thanks Guzias, that was a pic from my first harvest indoors a couple years back.
Some of my favorite BHO (flavor wise), was likely a honeycomb, but came to me crumbled looking like a really nice blonde sandy bubble hash. It is/was the only BHO I have had to date that had zero "oil" flavor. That said, it was also a "nectar" extracted from only the crown of the buds and provided the heaviest THC hits I have ever experienced. Finally, it was a lab grade extraction done in a closed system where the butane both in and out is totally accounted for.
agreed. my bluecheese just refuses to wax up, always end up with budder/shatter with that strainI think that strain has a bit to do with the consistency of the oil. I've got shatter and wax from the same tech. Only difference was the strain.
They are less "harsh" because waxing up releases a bronchial expectorant. This makes your bronchial passage ways expand and causes people to cough. I disagree about flavor though. I think it's batch specific as I've explained, certain strains I prefer shatter, others wax all the way.to each his/her own, i've never enjoyed a Budder dab. Shatter dabs are way more flavorful, and less harsh. just my 2 pennies.
I should clarify, freshly dried trim is the best. I was just pointing out that the terpene degradation in curing is not necessary for extracts, as we are "curing" the plant matter for the most part for our flowers we smoke. The resin should be good to go as soon as its dry.I never used fresh trim. I always dry it out pretty good. Maybe I need to try that.
