Who doesn't tip?

i walked into a cvs around xmas time after smoking some magical blue dream on the ride there.. this teen aged couple walked by me and the girl was all staring hard, then i see them walk away and the girl mouthed "weed", i lol'ed, busted.. :D

see, here, she'd've asked you where you got it 'cuz it smells gooooood

no. 10 char min.

yes, restaurants end up with 8-10% of total revenue after expenses. the restaurant business may look glamorous, but it ain't. this comes from "Running a Restaurant for Dummies" book.

i tip 20% for great service and 15% for average service.

i was checking out cuts of meat like it was going out of style.. nice big ass rib eye steaks, fliets, swordfish, shrimps, catfish, all sorts of shit.. i was super hungry as well..
i was proud of meself though as i spend not a penny in there except for what i went in for.. :D

Consider yourself lucky, once I lay eyes on ribs and steaks it's all over for me. I love cooking in the smoker. :D

Interesting. A family member owns and operates a restaurant. He makes far more than 10% profit. I have 2 personal friends, one owns a restaurant, the other a bar/restaurant. They also make more than 10% profit margin. The friend that owns the bar/restaurant on slow days pulls a night draw of about $5k or so. He has told me he has had night draws on busy nights of $40k. After expenses, he states, he pulls in roughly $10k on those kinds of nights. Easy math shows us a profit margin of about 25%.

You are probably right that some restaurants have very narrow margins. But ones that are run well and are at least some what popular, the margins are much better.

my boss wife's tits show theres much money to be made in restaurants

Farmington jesus...Natives anyone? Olive garden in farmington bad experience, got the meal for free but it took like an hour plus and the food was wrong...the waitress got a huge tip...cant recall how much but it was close to the total bill amount...
The only time I fought gratuity was at a "fancy restaurant" on Broadway in Farmington. ::cough K.B. Dillon's cough::

The food is mediocre at best and priced WAY too high. I had an incident with a saucy little waiter who was in a very bad mood that night. He spilled water in my lap and slammed my food down so hard I was spattered with the contents. He was surly and sarcastic. It was a celebratory dinner and I was one of the honored guests. I couldn't leave. I refused to pay the tip. He brought out the manager. I showed him my wet lap and slop spattered shirt. I got my meal for free.

Haven't been back since.

Bill x 1.3 = cash left on table

waiting tables fucking blows... I wouldn't do that job full time again for less than 70k + benefits. Fuck that.

Edit: If someone goes out of their way to be an asshole (and not just really fucking busy kind of pissy) I'll tip 15%. It's only happened a few times though.

I haven't tried Olive Garden yet. I can make their dishes myself and not have to worry about tipping and bad service.
