Universe or Multiverse

This sub forum is the best lol.. Nobody ever says your right and I'm wrong. They just argue and then it turns to something else and then name calling and then the thread dies.. The best part is you can just go to the next thread and watch it unfold all over again.
as fb360 said earlier on in this thread there is no way of knowing exacty what answer is

yet his answer is the right one

is that sentiment infinitely ironic?

the only thing you have shown is that your a dick with a superiority complex

its cool tho you blowing your load is plain to see here

I'm not even angry lol. I just felt like taking your suggestion and make this a dick measuring contest which I undoubtedly won :)

I wrote it out in mathematics for you. Whether or not you comprehend it is your own fault

... I mathematically proved your statement to be incorrect. The same math you claim to be universal (pun intended)
How about them apples :)

ok apply your maths to the fractions to show the upper limit of divisability

is it 1/999999 or 1/99999999999999999999999999999999999999 or even 1/9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999

where does your math say it stops?

thats not infinity...... See you still can't even grasp this simple math..

infinity = 1/0 not 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999

e;
ergo:

1/(1/0) = 0/1

1/ 9999999..........................etc carries on to infinity

you ever heard of zeno's paradox where any distance can be halfed forever?

if 1/9999999999999........................... does not carry on then what is its upper limit?

if there is no upper limit then how many variations of the 3 (r,b,y) can you get?

Infinity doesnt even have to be 9999999999 in your logic... It could be 1111111111111111111.., or 222222222222222222222..

Infinity is not a string of 9's. Infinity is by definition undefined (1/0) and goes on forever (how we understand it)

e;
We commonly use 9999999999999999999999999999999 to show the limit as somthing goes to infinity, but IT IS NOT infinity

chose any substitution you want

you chose fractions with your color's r,b,y

tell me its upper limit using your math (for it to be proof you need to beable to apply it)

infinity is by definition undefined as you can always add one more

the combinations of 3 unique colors added to make an extra unique color is infinite (undefined) as there are always more colors to be made from those 3

I already told you several times...

(1/3) ^ infinity = 0

I already told you several times...

(1/3) ^ infinity = 0

so your proof says theres zero combinations of 3 colors that can make 1 unique colors?

back in the day the mighty SNES was capable of creating 32768 colors from conbinations of 3 colors

It's not my proof retard. It's basic calculus; learn it.

Just leave your shit and go. We already know you have no mathematical background and spew shit out of your ass.

lol get that chip off your shoulder

use your calculus to work out the maximum amount of sets you can have of 3 colors combining to make a new color

how many combinations and how many new colors are there?

lets see your answer

1/5 red + 1/3 blue + 7/15 yellow = 1 new color
1/2red + 1/4 blue +1/4 yellow = 1 new color
1/3 red + 1/3blue +1/3 yellow = 1 new color

use your calculus to tell me how many differing combinations you can possibly get

It's not my calculus... It's basic mathematics discovered/created by Issac Newton.

stop dodging

you asked me the question then you claimed to prove me wrong

now lets see your answer

1/5 red + 1/3 blue + 7/15 yellow = 1 new color
1/2red + 1/4 blue +1/4 yellow = 1 new color
1/3 red + 1/3blue +1/3 yellow = 1 new color

You're almost there.

What I stated says that if the set is indeed infinite, the probability of having r,r,r,r,r,r,r,r,r,r,r,r,r,r,r,r,r,r,r............r is absolutely 0. Impossible. It cannot happen.

Again, what you are failing to realize is that infinity is NOT a real number. It is a "value" we use to describe functions which continue forever. We use infinity to depict mathematically what we cannot comprehend. Just look at asymptotes for infinity. They never actually reach that value because YOU PHYSICALLY CANNOT. They "TEND" to infinity, which is expressed as "99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999"..

At this point im no longer trolling trying to put you down. Seriously, just go to mit.ocw.edu and refresh/learn basic calculus. It will help you understand infinity and negative infinity

Are you trying to say that it is impossible to have an infinite number of different types of universes?

If so, how can you be so sure? If not... what exactly are you trying to say?

No, in fact that is exactly what I'm trying TO PROVE.

He stated that with infinite amount of universes, not all possibilities may happen; using numbers [1,3,5,7,9....11....1111111111] as an example. I stated that his example is IRRELEVANT in this situation, as universes are physical quantities, therefore, an infinite set is THE COMPLETE SET [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,....,12345678]...

your talking about getting a particular set from amoungst a set of infinites and yes probability for that = 0

i know infinity isnt a number it cannot be as its a never ending set

but as i said from my very first post on here that an infinite set does not have to contain every possibility to be infinite

that applies to your mixing 3 colors to make a new unique color too

Goodness gracious. The last sentence of yours: I already proved that to be incorrect with math.

In MY CASE an infinite number of universes is EQUAL to ALL POSSIBILITIES.

If YOU ASSUME that a single universe in a set of infinite universes, is INFINITE IN SIZE, than your example CAN HAPPEN, other wise it is an impossibility as I already mathematically described how a set of finites of the same cannot result in an infinite set with a nonzero probability.

I understand the math and concept is beginning to get complex, but by setting limits such as infinity, we can mathematically suggest something to be probable or impossible

e;
drunk atm so bear with my errors
