Moonshine can be made both more palatable and less damaging by discarding the "foreshot"—the first few ounces of alcohol that drip from the condenser. The foreshot contains most of the methanol, if any, from the mash because methanol vaporizes at a lower temperature than ethanol. The foreshot also typically contains small amounts of other undesirable compounds such as acetone and various aldehydes.
India has a thriving moonshine industry, and a methanol-tainted batch killed 143 people in December 2011.[SUP][/SUP]
Alcohol concentrations above about 50% alcohol by volume (100 proof) are flammable and therefore dangerous to handle. This is especially true during the distilling process when vaporized alcohol may accumulate in the air to dangerous concentrations if adequate ventilation has not been provided."

Many, never. Most states will never(never meaning never or a very very long time) have the issue brought to a vote. Many states are trying to figure out ways to stop a vote from every happening, or a way to disrupt or delay a vote if one did happen or one passed, but mostly there is not enough support nationally yet to make WA and CO a trend.
The first comment is about it. States can usually bring up bills and amendments for vote every 2 or 4 years.

"It won't be an easy task to get 25+ states to legalize recreational use." True, but it needs to be 38 states, not 25.
The feds changing the marijuana schedule or legalizing is about the same odds of Ron Paul winning a presidential election in 2016.

For alcohol prohibition to end.... it only took 18 states to legalize.... before the government caved
Feds already voted....and they have chosen not to reclassify marijuana because it doesnt have any medical value
