I am currently using 2k and my co2 system for veg.

I never had any stretching issues or anything crazy and I ran perpetual for a long time (ran co2 from day 1 to finish).

I like the 1500 mark, some say go up to as much as 2000ppm during peak flower and go down to 1200 during the first & last 2 weeks.

So the Exhale CO2 bag has bought my 960 sqft room up 200-250pmm. Brings me to 650-750ppm CO2. I have the bag in the tent with the Misty, so im sure its a little higher in the tent it self. i think im happy with it so far though, as long as it lasts. Even If i spent $35 on a new one for each tent run, that would put my CO2 up by 1000ppm in the room. ending up right around 1500. And id think that i would make up for the cost of $35 each plant from the extra yield fairly easily.

don't want to sound like a dick, just saying that first, because I used the exhale bags.

They are worthless piles of shit & a waste of $$.

Take the $70 and buy a c02 regulator and look on CL for a cheap tank you will thank me later.

no prob man. I dig the help. Especially from nerds like you geek.
So what about them did you not like? What do you think about mine bumping my room up 200-250ppm? Do they run out fast?

are you exchanging air or doing this in a sealed room?

I've got to the point where I'm not willing to skimp, doing things right the first time has saved me a boat load of cash in the end (and even more headaches)

Those bags don't do much better than some Yeast, water & sugar in a 2L bottle.

I changed up too many things when I brought in CO2, so from my experience.... i couldn't give you numbers. All I can say is that everything in my garden is better and yields more since those changes.

Yeah im running a sealed room now. Its a little warm in the tents them selves, like low-mid 80's. But i read that will be a good thing when running CO2...
So far still holding at a little over a 200ppm increase according to the ppm meter i got.

I just dont have the funds at the moment to get into a tank and regulator and controller. Plus i like the idea of ubber simple co2, if it actually works. If they all worked like this one is currently, as i said id get a 1000ppm jump from the 5 tents in the room.

I know ive read a TON of folks who have tried the Exhale bags, and thought they were complete junk. But then ive also read a few threads where people got measured bumps in their CO2. Makes me wonder if there's a QC issue, or what the inconsistency is, but so far this one seems to be working for me to a certain degree.

I know in the long run all the tank gear would be more reliable, but considering the initial investments, its hard not to want to try another bag.

That said, i greatly appreciate your incite and advice Geekmike, as i consider you one of my mentors.

... On great Garden note, just smoked some HarliQueen. Awesome smoke. Great combo of a light, super clear head high, with a lovely body pain numbing tingle.
And with a THC/CBD of around 7%/7%, i am very happy to call her part of our medicine garden. :bigjoint:

geekmike, how much money did you have to spend on all the CO2 gear and how much do you spend on CO2 each month?

Sometimes I feel like if you have fresh air coming in the grow room 24-7, that is all the plants need? I am satisfied with the growth in my gardens and can't imagine ever using CO2, I guess my question is, is there no doubt in your mind that adding CO2 will pay for itself? Is it worth all the money, time and effort?

It would definitely pay for itself IF you have somebody who's taking the extra yield of your hands for cash. :) It doesn't take that much extra yield to pay for just the setup, much less monthly.

you guys are thinking more about yield vs. environmental control. The CO2 is just a requirement because I sealed the room, not that I wanted co2 so I sealed my room. Humidity, spore & bug control were my primary reasons. A slight yield increase is just a bonus.

It's crazy easy to run a sealed room, when i flip the switch to 12/12 I can just leave my 4k for a few days and not worry about a thing. It just runs itself.

40lb Tank ($60)
CAP PPM-4 ($190)
Titan LP Burner ($290)

about $15/fill

Thanks! CO2 is not worth it for me then! I run a ''sealed'' room but the inline fan is running 24-7. I have an air filter at the intake and ladybugs/nematodes for bugs!
