rocko was by far my favorite original nicktoon. unfortunately i also enjoyed beavis and butthead so i noticed some of the jokes that i wasn't supposed to notice.

the show had two theme songs but whenever i see an episode now they show the second theme song. it's to the point where people argue with me about whether there even was an original theme. the same with are you afraid of the dark. the first season had a totally different theme and it's nowhere to be found now.

hmm...why did they delete the original and what was different in it? what was different in the are you afraid theme? i remember the one that is just music and then a weird laughing at the end with sand in the fire.?!

Remember the episode where they went to the mall with the indoor forest, and rocco was picking berries off a bush, squeezed one, and a bear jumps out holding its crotch, yelping, and runs away?

Lol I used to watch this show as a kid too ..

I still remember the episode where they went to the fair and if my memory serves me right there was a talkong appendix in that one

But yeah it doesn't suprise me they slip subliminals and adult jokes in a lot of cartoons .

Can you freakin imagine all the stuff they subliminally pumped into the minds of us poor kids born in the 80s and 90s. I watched that cartoon my entire childhood and NEVER noticed the subtle kinkiness to it.

it just a different creepy theme and slightly more musical and that creak noise was further into the theme. after this thread i searched for about a half hour on youtube and only came up with the second theme. even when they replayed episodes from the first season it was with the second theme. some kind of syndication thing i suppose. i have an old snick video and it also has the second theme and the tape is pretty old. both themes of rocko are pretty easy to find though.

i remember arguing with friends back in high school in the late 90s about whether there was an "original" theme for are you afraid of the dark. my audible memory is impeccable. i know of what i speak but there is no proof. the "laughing kids" in the theme were also different.
