Can u grow a good crop up in the trees

So we are all blazing as good heads do and a thought came to us while looking in the clouds

Up in the big trees.. why can 't you build a platform and have the plants there.?

You can hide it from down below and in the tree tops the green would not stand out like it does on the ground?

From the air they stand out like a sore thumb against the dry background.
But in the trees they should blend in like the rest of the leaves.

Like i said we are stoned and its and its a great strain

To us it sounds doable... we could not find a thread so maybe this is the only one.

What do you think........take another bong hit

How thick is the growth in the tree? Too much and your plants won't get enough light. Watering and tending the plants would be difficult. Raising and lowing the plants on a pulley system would lead to damaged plants. I just don't think it's practical.

This is a common question. It is possible and I'm sure its been done before, though it does involve additional work and planning. If you have access to the right tools/materials I would say give it a shot. Just make sure there is a good balance of sunlight and cover. Also watering may be tough during dry spells. Its a tough one, certainly not recommended for a first grow.

lol it can be done but better done by hanging them rather than building a platform. that way you can use a pulley system as well if you want to and lower them down to be watered rather than having to climb a tree with a bunch of water in hand. on another note it might be a little hard to find a good spot in a tree with enough sunlight.

Hey bro! Glad I seen this! the answer your looking 4 is YES!! My dad taught me trick back in the late part of the 80's because I got tired of working my ass off on my crop & damn thieves would take all the credit for it!! So dad got a few 5gln buckets & a rope, tied 1 end of the rope to the handle on the bucket, then we found a good tree that its canopy wasn't to full, "so the girls get get there sun" & threw the other end of the rope across a lower hanging branch & pulled it up then tied it off!! He told me not to many people go walking through the woods looking up in the tree tops! There to worried about looking down where there walking, and for snakes & shit!! And it worked too!! All I did was took a good soil mix I make up, start the girls indoors in the buckets, so we didn't have to worry about shock when it come to transplanting, grew them up around 12" or so, & then took them out to there final place! The soil I had/do mix up has enough nutes in it to sustain the girls from the veg cycle to flowering phase! And the only time I ever went back was to harvest!! Because my dad had told me that if you go making a "path" to the trees your girls are up in, someone will see the path, & then they'll find them!! He taught me a lot about growing the ganja! he is no longer with me in body anymore, only in spirit. He passed away at the age of 45. But I know that he looks down on me, & that he still is helping me with my grows!

Well its not a first grow... i am 50 and have been growing since 15 We use to camp in the trees to protect them. and no one ever looked in the trees.
With out a doubt watering is a big thing.

I am saying building a platforum put 1 or 2 plants on it..
You going to them instead of the plants coming down... i would be stoned and probably would drop one.

Just wasted and wondering if anyone else ever did it. Shit even inur backyard you might be able to hide from theives that way.

Hey bro.. I'm not trying to beg to differ with you or anything by far! And I am in NO way shape or form implying you don't know what your doing. But when "we" would do this technique, the ONLY time we made our way back to where we had um hanging was to harvest! We would just let "mother nature" tale care of them.. I mean think about it bro, there a very hardy plant, and they can withstand a lot of "shit" that mother nature & "we" put them through when you stop to think about it.. I mean we all don't stand out and water our veggie gardens all the time. I mean don't get me wrong. I could see it maybe if there was a drought for 3 weeks or so with NO rain! Then you may have to do somthing. But another thing that dad taught me was, during the "drought" periods, where it would go like that with absolutely NO rain, we would just take 1 galn milk jugs or somthing of that nature, fill it with water & poke a tiny hole in the lid, so it would drain real nice & slow.. and it would save us from having to make a bunch of trips, making paths/cuts through the weeds, & brush, so know one would get a feel for where we had hung um.. that's all I'm saying.. just thought I would through that out there.. Your welcome bro! I'm glad I could pass my fathers knowledge on to other fellow growers! And I'm sure he'd feel the same way! He did teach me a lot about growing, the ganja, & veggies in general. Along with other aspects of "life". He was a good dude! And I miss him a lot! But I know his still with me in sprit. that's what keeps me going really! And shit around here, growing/farming is a way of life/living! If only the dang state I'm in would "legalize" it, it would be great!! But then again, idk!! I guess it has its ups & down side too!!
