how do you make thousands of dollars off credit card companies? I have a 3% cash back card, I would have to spend over $50,000 in one year on that card alone to get thousands of dollars off the credit card company.

On the other hand you could take a look at how well our gov does their budget and follow their leads

no budget passed since 4-2009 (includes INCREASED spending) were -17 trillion and counting.... and were doing fine..

Amen, brother. I can't wait to be done with my debt. I will likely do the same. But it requires a lifestyle change.

a little new info, retailers are allowed to charge 4% of sales IF you use a credit card to pay.on top of the already fucking insane interest most of these places will give you unless you have good credit.

try orchard bank. or get a secured card from any card co. it still builds credit as you use it. remember the more inquiries to your file the more your score goes down.

Dirt has it right, forget credit. It's overrated. My FICO score is 790, and my credit card companies (all three) raised my fixed rate above double digits for now reason, after the credit reform act. I paid them off and cut them up. We pay cashola for eveything. If you cannot afford to pay in cash you shouldn't be using credit, unless it is an absolute emergency. Double digit interest?!?!?!?!? Screw you, banks! Especially when you're only paying me 1-2% on the money I loan you!

What you need is a secured credit card. You just go to a bank, most branches have a company they use, you start a savings account that is used solely to secure the credit line on your card, and you use it like you would a normal credit card. Secured credit cards are a little different than prepaid credit cards because secured card loaners actually report to the credit bureua, whereas regular prepaids don't. I think (and I may be wrong) the platinum visa secured card is the "go-to" card for this... Capital One just preys on people with bad credit, plain and simple. Their rates are ridiculous. I'd start with a local credit union, see if they have secured credit cards.
