hi guys im reading world of hempy thread on page 9 out of 200 odd lol but came across something that i wondered i could have bit of advice on.

this is what gyroscope said

  • Did you see my post (#35) of a DWC/Hempy ? At first I had algae then I cleared it up by rinsing and blocking out the light. Even with regular water changes, I started getting root rot. I am treating my test subject with water that has sodium hypochlorite(bleach) added. It is knocking the rot and there are new feeders forming. I think that with this method that there will always be a need to run some type of disinfectant as regular maintenance. The tests go on....

when i first brought my buckets for hempy i didnt take in to consideration to block the roots from light.
i have normal builders buckets but they are orange not black would this give me need to worry for root rot?

also what gyro said about the bleach, is that normal house hold bleach?? does it not poison the plant coz i know what happens when humans drink it lol..

basically i got that he had rootrot and used low concentration of bleach to clear it up? please explain

Cheers guys.

yep H202 All the way, its fairly cheap and the plant grade 30% will burn your finger ( learned that the hard way), However its highly effective in small amounts. I started getting slime in my bubble cloner and res, and 1 water change with some h202 and my res stays crystal clear and no slime on my babies, also got my cloner working better since im not losing any to slime/rot...peace
