Help: I use marijuana, go to college, and can't find a job, worried about drug test

Im a 19 year old college student who doesn't know what he wants to do yet (maybe accounting). I use marijuana only on weekends, because im going to college on the week days. I work out 4 days a week.

My concern is about worrying for a pre-employment drug test for a job. my last drug-test I took and i hadn't used marijuana in 12 days and I still showed up positive (bought a drug-test kit). I live in Washington state. part-time job openings wont be for another month or two looks like. So should I continue using marijuana and protest it out, or wait till its completely out of my system to get a part-time job (kinda hard to do, because its unfair for some companies to use urine testing, which detects use, rather than impairment)

How about stop bitching and own up and do what you think is best, your an adult were not going to tell you what to do. If you want to smoke weed then do it but don't bitch about not being able to get a job.

Isn't WA a medical state? why not just get a card so you don't even have to worry about it. Oh and it's going to take more then 12 days to get clean unless you have only smoked once.

Moral of my story is to man up and make your own choices. Cannabis is not a drug, it's a plant that we grow.

Fuck em. Plead ignorance until confronted with evidence you can't deny. If it's gov, or driving/handling equipment I'd expect to be tested, but if it's non union, non driving or handling equipment, and non gov, they usually just write that to weed out applications.

Not only is there no drug test, you don't have put up with any bosses. Only clients, which you get new ones of everyday.

if you wanna pass your test the easy way, stop smoking. and like giggles said, getting a medical card could work out to your advantage. otherwise i say smoke and put the job on hold.

Even in CA, if you pop on a drug test for weed, they have the option to fire you. An insurance company wont cover you if your employees are popping on drug tests for a federally controlled substance. I agree with the rest of it though, op needs to choose: weed or work; really that simple. Personally, I'd rather have the job.

I'm gonna go with lazy since he's 19 and doesn't know what he wants to do, well idk he say's he works out during the week. Not quite sure why he wouldn't at least get a card so he can say fuck those jobs.

Who can't get a med card anymore lol. If you can't get a med card you must of went in and said hey doc I need a script for some weed hook it up ;)

canada is harder to get one,

That's why you run your own business and say fuck the corporate world, was there once and I will never go back to that place.

I'm happy with where I'm at.

i know lol they will let you go with illegal weed under a certain amount, and give people slap on the wrists for big grow ops but you pretty much need to be a on a death bed to get medical pot

It's just a byproduct of our laws. A business doesn't want the bad PR of bucking drug laws. Too many people still think the drug war is legit.
