man i see everyone on rollitup with all their expensive lighting and setups and beautiful ass plants and im like why cant i do this i know there are low wattage hps systems but i cant find any in my price range i have cfls and their working but it is sooooooo slow i was smokin like everyday and now im completly dry dont get me wrong im not hatin on sucessful growers i guess its just human nature to want some of that because rite now all im doin is window shoppin.......

Dont feel bad .. I use a windup coleman lantern to grow... Ive been winding this thing for 274 days now .. But it looks like the plant is finaly coming around .. It has 3 leaves on it and a 4th starting ... now thats getto..

It has taken my bf and I a while to buy a 400$ light now, and well we saw it as an investment.


We'd rather buy a 400$ light, then 400$ of dope as the lamp will make that money back in a way because after half a lbs we'll have got enough dope to make up for the lamp.

soon to be lined with mylar
120mm comp fans for intake/exhaust
80mm comp fan for circulation
2x 6500 (23w?) 100W equivalent bulbs
2x 5000 (23w?) 100W equivalent bulbs

not the best grow room around but it works!

dont think it looks bad for a little over a month old

you just gotta have patience...or get some seeds for a plant made to grow faster

We went with a 600watt, with warranty and nice reflector so we don't have to upgrade later on and deal with another 300-400$ buy in a year.

my home boy is using like a 150watt hps form home depot and he only does 1 plant at a time but everytime they come out beautiful he will top it some and get like 8 or 10 small colas and some small buds on the side i was really impressed what he got out of that small of a light you might try that or even better just save some money and go buy a 1000 watt and git er done

I can relate,when i was a small boy i lusted after very expensive high end hifi gear at a custom shop near me,i used to go after school & look at $3,000 record players,that was big money back then & i'd tell myself that someday that shit would be mine,it took some years but i ended up buying my dream hifi system's.

You'll get there it just takes time,keep focused on the important shit & the fun stuff like expensive grow gear will fall in place in time,you'll appreciate it that much more when you get it.

yea it takes a lot of patience to grow but the one guy said he had like a 150 watt hps where do i get one i can wait its just what the point of waiting longer if your gona get less i usually say quality over quantity but now i want both

My little indoor setup cost me very little. Now I am not going to add the cost of things like soil into this total because I feel that is a per-grow expense, but here is what I spent on getting my room ready to grow. I spent MUCH less than most people have on indoor setups because I do the bulk of my growing outside - and the quality of my indoor bud is about as good as it can get.

400w HPS system with an HPS bulb and a MH conv. bulb - 165$ from indoorsun.com
6" duct fan - 40$
5ft. of ducting - 6$
oscilating fan - 25$
roll of mylar - 25$
temp/ Rh meter - 25$
digital timer- 25$
power strip - 8$
50ft. extension cord - 10$
2x 4ft. fluorescent fixtures for sprouts - 12$
10x 1.6 ga square pots - 12$

So for less than 350$ I have a modest setup that can net me up to 8 oz. of quality nugs every 3 months or so....

Try craigs list online...I bought a 400 wat air cooled hps and a 265 cfm squirrel fan for $120.....there were plenty of other things listed but that's all I needed
