You could only hope so, the flood gates have kind of opened on a federal level imo since Colorado and Washington passed their measures. Idk how long it will take wisconsin, we do host the great midwest harvest fest so there are a decent amount of stoners here. not to mention every year in the newspaper you read the sad story of people getting their crops caught outside around harvest. They had a bust a year ago of a pretty elaborate lil pot growing bunch of students in platteville. I just need the next year of my life to go by already lol since I am pretty sure both laws passed say 21
like i said take a look at uncle bens thread on topping, dude is gonna tell you more than I could probably ever hope to on the topic, idk if his prof pic is still a bud blocking his head out but idk y it wouldnt be that is damn impressive if you ask me.

Do you think i can handle it as a first time grower? Ok so if you could please so be great and let me know what exactly i need to do lst and were to get it. i have the bits and the drill, just the string or rope or what ever and what ever you put into the bucket drill holes and what ever else!
Sure man, nothing to it.
I used nylon string myself, you don't need anything fancy, just something that will be easy to tie/ untie when you want to tighten one up, but nothing really thin that will cut into the stems when you apply pressure.
Some of the strings at one point, like when I started pulling the tops across, would start to make the rootball lean if I didn't also apply pressure to the opposite side.

Here is 10" tall, a week after transplanting, and you can see the holes in the bucket, but I hadn't started training yet.6dec10_zpsa6eea805.jpg
Here is a week later, at 38 days old, when I first started the trainingPic2dec17_zps967708c6.jpg
There isn't any 'correct' way to do it, what I did, just started pulling the branches open to try and get a shape, thinking about what I could continue with later.
What made it a little easier for me was I was still only using 98w of CFL's, so she was stretching a little, and every day I would go around, and move the string up the branch a little, tighten, and pull it down further.
My next one, if I do this, I want to get the tops crossed over like I did here, then start training them in a circular rotation around the shape of the pot, but it's easier to do this once you're in your final pot size.
This one, you can see what I mean about going around and moving the string up if you look on the right, the 1 branch where there is growth beyond the string, sometimes I would move the string up if I wanted the branch to come out more, or just tighten it down to bring it down and just let the branch start growing up towards the light.dec19pic1_zps72db9665.jpg
Here is 12 days later at 52 days from sprout.
See how now I'm starting to pull her together because she is getting too wide.dec31pic6_zps896c27a9.jpg
4 days later when I trimmed a little of the inner lower leaves and branches.Jan4pic1_zpsff72bacd.jpg

10 days later at 66 days from sprout.jan14pic16_zps8cf56612.jpg
And that's about where I have it until now, at 84 days from sprout this past Monday.feb4pic9_zps8466a8c3.jpg

wheres the journal baka? this ones a joke..
What do you mean a joke?
Why a journal?
Ghetto simply asked some tips and info on how I did mine, he didn't ask for a journal.
Anything I haven't added to the journal I forgot about is in my thread if he wanted to see, I just didn't go into the detail I did here.
There are many pics that were unnecessary that I left out, he didn't need to know what I fed, or anything, and I see nothing funny about my plant.
Must I start making comments about your plant?
Mine was 21 fucking days old in a solo cup and it was as big as your retarded, short bus riding, mutant abused piece of branch.View attachment 2516759View attachment 2516762

Dont go starting shit meat, great job bak, I like how that container air prunes your roots. I prob would have taken more lower growth off but to each his own I just like big fat tops lol. Duh forgot to mention anchoring the plant so you don't rip her out, good point bak.
That first pic in that second post is the exact one I had in mind when I was talking about close too rootbound

Thanks man.
It was comical really, because when I would pull, I was 'feeling' out the branch, but not paying attention to how she was sitting in the pot, and it was not until an hour later when I realized she was leaning over.:o

Thanks Bakatare for your info , that is just amazing!!! Ok So when do you think my plants will be strong enough to start LST? they are 3-1/2 days old from transplant right now. Also so im not really sure what to put in the buckets tho? What to hold the string/rope down?

GROW UPDATE: So the Other two plants are finally showing good growth!! :weed: :weed: I played musical chairs with the girls yesterday and got the correct positioning of the buckets so that they are correctly under the lights foot print. They way i have this LED right now (at 11" from top of plants) the Footprint of the light output is very minimal. Being how it is i didnt notice that two of my plants were positioned uncorrectly and the new growth areas were actually outside the footprint! So after changing them around and waking up this morning peeping in on them they seemed to be doing good! Seeing good growth happening on the "slower" ones finally , the other two are growing nicely. The new leaves are starting to get bigger, still very small but starting to grow in size. The two Strong ones look like they have striped stems? lol? idk could be trippn.

SOIL MOISTURE: Checked it this morning with the "1 knuckle rule" or half your finger size. and im feeling moisture, not like wet but i can feel moisture, remember this is my first time ever growing so this is my first moisture check, and im pretty sure its moist? lol not no vagina moist but its not buthole dry either. its almost been 96Hrs sense i've watered them. Is this normal?

I like the moistness terms you use lol, really paints a picture. Some people will argue you want to let it dry out more to let the roots try and reach for water, especially with clone. I have not been hardly swayed either way, I am still trying to see definitive results without causing harm to the girls.
And dropping some bills on a superior light system like leds is no joke meat, can not speak on blackstars but there is not a product made yet without atleast one failure. Point being he is trying, you yourself are trying to make it in this harsh mj world lol dont be the kid who picks on everyone else cus he is insecure.

hahaha i thought some one would like that :D well i'll give it another day check on it tomorrow morning see how they feel. Hopefully a little closer to dry. I've heard mix reviews on LED's but my main buy points were heat, electricity & very very potent results. We'll find out!

Why is this a joke?
He is asking legitimate questions to learn, taking all advice except yours, and not arguing.
He's trying not to end with a plant like yours.View attachment 2516984

I started mine when she was about 12" tall, and went gently, and gradually increased the tension.
You don't need anything to 'hold the string, you tie a loop at one end, large enough to slip over all your leaves on the branch, slide the loop around the branch (make sure it's not a slipknot so it doesn't tighten up and constrict around the branch. Here's a link to a fairly easy end loop, easier than the one I use, but this will work for you.)

Then take the other end of the string, and tie it through whatever hole you want.
Here is a pic showing a pretty good shot of the holes I drilled in the 1 gallon bucket I put her in first.
Sorry, I forgot your water question.
That's a call you will have to make.
When my soil is like you describe, I always go ahead and water, because I don't like the soil to get completely dried out.
When she was in the smaller bucket, I was watering about every third or fourth day, so ya, 96hrs is not out of the question.View attachment 2517005
Here's one that shows good in the 5 gal. that she is in now.Jan4pic4_zps1bbfda3e.jpg
See how I have the row of holes around the top and the strings tied there?
Sorry, forgot the link after all that.
