IF that was the case the sun would light up the whole world up 24/7. It doesnt. Nowhere. All plants are adapted to 18-20 hoiurs of light during long months. Plus in the night is when there most active using all the energy they have storedhow can 24 hours of light be a waste?
isnt the first 3 weeks of autos usually veg , why wouldnt 24 hours of light give it the fullest growth throughout the grow
I agree20/4 worked great for me
It gets dark because the axis of the earth's rotation has a large component perpendicular to the plane of orbit around the sun. It has nothing to do with plants. Furthermore, marijuana is a C3 plant. This means that the light independent reactions of photosynthesis occur during the daytime, in the light.IF that was the case the sun would light up the whole world up 24/7. It doesnt. Nowhere. Like i said. Plants adapted to it. But be my guest mr bill nye keep your lights on 24/7 and waste precious fossil fuels. you are basing your statment on non genetic manipulated plants...these are autos we are talking about..the light schedule really doesnt play that much of a factor in my opinoin...you can give it 2 hours of light a day or 24 its still going to bud...only difference is how much you will yield...due to the variations of genetics in all autos i would think there really is no exact time to go by...from what ive read most succesfull growers run either 18/6 20/4 or 24/0 ...any of those should get you good results...just my opinoin though. It gets dark because the axis of the earth's rotation has a large component perpendicular to the plane of orbit around the sun.
