His is more of a from seed kind of situation there, that would indeed be plant suicide lol, I just take off the first node of new growth, try to peel back some of the new leaves developing to really get in there when you cut, have not seen up close pics of your new growth, but leds keep the nodes really tight so you are seeing new growth, just not the stretched you started with lol. Hold your nuts, it is hard to not to want to fuck with them but soon you will notice it is part of your routine and you are gonna be at harvest thinking where did the time go, but you will still be impatient then too lol as you are waiting for the weed to dry and cure. Your doing fine dont let meat beat you up, where are the mods? you are not wanted if you are just gonna leave one liners so how bout you tenderize your meat a lil....

ok that makes more sense to me hahaha yah that would be death for the babies! To be honest it almost looks like this was topped already! I'll post some pics when i get a chance but idk i could be wrong. Damn its good to have you hear hydro seems like your almost right next to me looking at my plants! foreal tho thats exactly what ive been seening!!! It looks as if these little "nodes" are poping out all over in the splits on the stems like the v positions in the middle. the Nodes are exactly as you say very very close together. is that good? LMAO exactly bro i cant even wait!!!!!! n shit i know it'll be here in the blink of an eye but until then im anxious@!!!!

and yah i bought them "stretched" like that. I guess i know what to look for when i go to buy my next round of girls in a couple months

So how long does it take to be able to "see" height growth?

It might take up to a couple weeks, because they will like to put out some roots first.
Hotrodharley likes to say 'roots before shoots'.
If you have your lights positioned good, you won't see too much vertical growth, but filling in.
Your watering process sounds good, but I like to let my water sit overnight in a bucket to let the chlorine evap off.
You can check online, and see if your water supplier uses chlorine or chloramine.
If you have chloramine, don't bother, because that does not evap off.
Just nothing you can do about it.

Glad to help, and ya i saw you got a lil bit of a y action going on there it looked like so it will be two tops in that situation, have you given thoughts towards scrog that room? You could just bend those y's over, make sure you dont try to wishbone it and split the plant!!, and you could have two heavy ass dense nugs, I prefer to keep my internode space as tight ass possible, tighter node space means less space between buds in flowering so you can get a bigger cola

He ended up getting 10oz dried of that 1 plant!!!!! thats insane, now i know this is my first damn grow but shit i know 4 buds would still be better than 1!!! lol

WATERING UPDATE:
Once again did the finger rule on all 4 of my plants just now and still i feel moisture there, its not like dry at all but its not wet. what should i do? wait 1 more day? its been 4-1/2days sense i watered. The bottom of the buckets they have the little square ends for some drainage and i put my finger in one and it stil felt moist as well? I ve been reading that to get good growth plants need to have wet/dry wet/dry cycles? correct me if im wrong cuz i'd love to not end up like bmeats plants k thanks!

I would water if it has been four days, but you do say it is still moist, it is up to you how far you want to take that drying theory, could wait til they wilt and show you they need water before you water them if you want. I would not take this approach though because by then the lil hairs at the end of the root have started to shrivel up and die, imo. And you do not want that since those are the feeler roots that are responsible for getting water/nutes to the plant.

I don't like to let it COMPLETELY dry, because I heard that is how you accumulate excessive salts.

Does not look that far into flower, when those buds get dense and pack on the weight bet you she splits in half lol, I hope not and wish no ill. Just warning of what could come. My last harvest I was carrying a girl to the tub for a good flush the week before I was gonna cut and when I picked it up all the colas started to fall over out of nowhere, had to support them with bamboo stakes. None of them peeled but I was def worried about it.... Def makes sense about the salts although I had not heard that, would not want your roots touch any built up salts in that search for water.

I know what you mean 'hairs' LOL.
I just put those pics up in case you grow from seed later on.
I would wait until you get a little more established in the root dept. before trying the LST, and by then should be OK to top as well.
Maybe another 4 or 5 days.

GROW UPDATE START OF DAY 5:

Ok so watered just about an hr ago and was watering exactly as i said i did my first time, used only 2 water bottles on a plant and could already start to see water start to drip out into drip pan, so i only watered each plant 3 16oz water bottles. And there was quite excess amount of run off in drip pans (pics attached) is this too much? was i watering too fast? i did it exactly as i did last time. did i water too early??? any who i dumped the excess already and threw the plants under the lights....

Also when i pulled the plants out of the closet out the light, all the stems were like purple!!!!!!!! They were purple in most of the whole area, some green areas but alot of purple! i tried to get pics but it was hard. WTF is this from!?!?????

IDK if it's just the way the plants were turned in your pics, post #29, but it looks like the burned tips might be progressing a little.
