I suggest we look to the tactics that we all just witnesses in last years presidential election. Love or hate Obama, the world has never seen such successful campaigning bar none. Regardless of the truly disgusting amount of resources ($$$) used, there was some parity to both sides on that front.

That said, we must identify smaller groups within the community and create individual story lines to promote within those smaller groups. For example, there is no question of the racism (black & hispanic) used by our gov't to put MJ prohibition on the books in the first place. MJ prohibition is RACIST! The "war on drugs" has left so many casualties we should have no problem collecting some epic story lines, and in turn minority groups, if we really put our minds to it. Collecting enough minority groups by differing means will provide a majority and that's all that really matters. I by no means believe this to be an effective means of governing, but rather a clearly successful one at this point and time. Fight fire with fire :fire:

if every person with a card signed that would be like a third of sigs needed or more ?
Yes but good luck with that. Lots of medical folks wanted nothing to do with legalizing in 2012. Some will change their minds but many are die hard medical folks who will still believe the war can be won through the mmma.

When I first went online I tried the 3MA site and many of them were hard-core anti-recreational. Some medical users are disgusted with the fact that they are associated with marijuana users.
I have my lol's @ that shit. Hanging out there for a little bit has me 100% in agreement with what you are saying.

True, but there has to be a breaking point where all these legal costs are no longer sustainable. What percentage may one assume that the 20$ grams in a brick and mortar support legal fees? If these funds were to be redirected, it would be a formidable foe in itself ;)

Was actually referring to the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act but yes there are a few self righteous ones at the 3MA site. I think probably half of those used to smoke recreational, just my opinion......

as i've said before my main concern with legalizing is having things go the same way as small tobacco farms . meaning there is no such thing as a small tobacco farm anymore which in the end most of us basement growers would still be illegal due to the fact most cannot afford all the licensing and taxes and fees associated with being legal. but i digress, i would still sign the petition and continue doing what i do and enjoy it and be glad that those who truly need the meds would have many safe routes to obtain it right along with the guy who just wants to chill after a long shitty day at work

I was working with a brick and mortar disp that let me collect signatures right in their store. I asked every customer that came in, almost all signed. Only ones who made a fuss were caregivers. I know of another brick and mortar disp that were collecting sigs. In Colorado the disps have a choice to stay med or go recreational. One or the other. If we go legal we should allow for recreational disps, coffee shops etc.

Anyway it's a good idea but many will probably be closing their doors. Still might be able to get them to donate etc. Keep the ideas coming!

tobacco-

is now legal to farm. i'm not sure of the specifics, but i do know seeds are commercially available, and have friends that grow it( thanks for the reminder). the farm act is what prevents the scenario you are describing. sure, plenty of folks buy produce at the supermarket. many more buy produce locally, from small farmers. any tomatoes i grow, can be put at the side of the road for transfer, without question.

and as far as long shitty days at work go, there's only about 6000 to go. in my opinion there isn't more medical need than that poor sob.

Not 100% sure but i don't think prisoners can sign petitions or collect signatures.

haven't looked into the right to farm act pertaining to tobacco but it's that right to farm act that allows me to have chickens in my backyard even though the city ord says no
