Right then, what's up with growing flax? Is it just for fun? Cactus seems fun and beans you can eat, but why flax? And what does the stuff look like when grown... like wheat? I guess I can look it up.

Hope tuesday is going well for you.

the DWC seedling is doing well.

wet weight for the 2 fruity chronic juic was 145g, if i end up with 50 grams ill be pretty happy. should get me to the next big harvest. got my clones all taken and put them up in the veg room. picked up some green bean, cactus and flax seeds. will be planting them today. moved peppers tomatoes and basil up to the veg tent. cosmo's and morning glories are staying in the flower tent.

did a feed of all plants and used a drop of superthrive see if it makes any noticable difference. also used the superthrive from my clones along with the bio root and the clonex. plus dipped them in rooting gel so i have plenty of hormone working.

any other questions feel free to ask, on to the other girls

heres the blueberry gum, as you can see she had some crazy nodal growth all towards the top of the plant but verry tight. i assume this would make for one giant bud which i dont want, i prefer smaller buds as i dont really have adequate drying conditions i need to dry fast and get them in jars so they dont stink up my house too much. i tied this girl down pretty good, i think i did 8 tie downs. my goal is to get the plant to be more bushy instead of one giant cola bud.

well my PH meter came in today, no calibration fluid so ill be getting that today and checking PH and temps on my DWC and adjusting accordingly. need to setup my station near my veg tent. should be gtg now on the DWC i have a PPM meter and a PH meter, calibration solution for the PPM and getting the buffer solutions for the PH today.

the little taproot from the seedling in the DWC should be well out of the rockwool and making its way through the hydroton so i think im going to lower the rez level today so it is about 1 inch up on the net pot, this should allow the seedling to develop some roots down and out of the net pot and then i can lower rez level again.

You cookin with gas now, ph meters are almost a must, until I saw you grow without one, watching your plants do so well I almost through mine away. Haha

Last week I went on and on about the abundance of water on new clones but I think it’s just the opposite with you DWC. I have recently experiencedslow growth with plants in an Ebb and Flow bucket system; of course this is my first time. I was flooding at 6, 12 noon, 5, and 10pm, every buddy’s heard hydroponics is faster, well mine sure wasn’t, but when the roots made their way to the bottom and started sitting in the water, I have an air stone in each bucket, the growth has gotten crazy fast.

It’s like always Matt; it’s your call, just passing along some of my trial and error experiences, although next time I will flood more often, like every 2-3 hours till the roots hit the bottom.

On a side note I put rockwool in the walls of my house, not my plants in rockwool, so I’m not sure you will have the same problem as me. I guess that shit holds water, and people don’t like to use it in ebb and flows for that very reason. So I guess you and I will have to wait and see.

If roots sitting it water bothers you, here is a link for aDIY drip ring.

the roots will ultimatly end up in water i just want them to search for it. thats why i am decreasing water levels untill my roots have found thier way out of the net pot.

i dont bother PHing soil but i have always and will always support PHing hydro setups on a consistant basis.

i had to hook up the fan and see what kind of air it moved and i do say it moves some dam air!!!.....almost sucked the string of my hoodie into the intake and that would have probabally been bad. its relativly quit and low vibration...we will see how long it hold up.

well didnt have time to setup the fan and filter but i did get my calibration solutions and got my DWC rez all at optimum readings...PPM is around 390 which is a bit high for a seedling but imgoing to let it ride for now, if it seems to become a issue ill dump the rezz and add plain water. the PH was soaring at atound 7.8 so i adjusted that. the temps were about 72 degrees. i put some water bottles in the freezer and a 1/2 a frozen bottle in the rez. will have to keep up on switching them untill it goes back down to the basement.

other than that everything looks nice and green. root pouches (smart pots) were shipped today, ironically soon after i contacted customer support and told them i was extremely pissed off that they werent shipped out on the same day since i ordered them on a monday morning.

so now im just waiting for seeds, my attitude order and a buddy on here sent me some reg Romulan seeds to give a run at. and my ballast and root pouches.

i was seriousy contemplating buying a 4x4x7 tent and selling my 32x32 tent because i see some space issues in the near future. my lovely wife told me it better be big enough for me to sleep in so i think ill hold off on that one. kiss-ass

heres some images for your viewing pleasure, i think i got a nice little work station going for my hydro setup.
