Can i use a 150 watt hps light for flowering??

I have a 1000 watt metal halide setup. Gonna trade for 150 watt hps if it will work. I am doing a cabinet grow, 6 plants.

Don't even do that. You can grow out all the way under metal halide. A 150-watt HPS will cover one short auto - maybe.

Use your MH. 1000 watts of MH are "at least" 5 times as good as 150 watts of HPS.

ok. i can either trade for 2 adjustable mh/hps ballasts, or a 400 watt hps light, bulb, ballast.... what to do, what to do?? i mean i got my mh setup for free, so whatever will work will work

Costs too much to run a 1000 watt? Then grow up and do what you need to do to get it done. Run an extension cord to your neighbors. Make sure it's hidden well.
