transplant flowering plants?

My plants are in their 4th week of flowering. They are getting pretty big. Does anyone know if I should transplant them in bigger pot or should they be good?

not a great idea you should always transplant at least 2 weeks before flower as the roots don't grow much during flower... kindof a strange choice in pot...

if you feel like you should.. the pot looks a little small. it should be fine to transplant if you don't stress the roots, just don't fuck up doing it lol. goodluck

Yeah, I changed the pots two weeks before flowering. Where I live there isnt much choice in pits to get without ordering them or useing trashcans. Next time ill use cans I guess. Im just worried they are gonna get bigger and topple over. Sticks going in today to hild up the stems

I've actually transplanted from a 5 to a 7 gal(2 person job)at 4 weeks in. While veg and root growth do slow down during flowering, they still continue.

The OP needs more medium, or yield will be limited.

is that pot made of plastic? If so just cut the bottom out and place in a larger pot. you wont have to disturb the roots and it will have more soil to root into...

Thank you everyone. My girlfriend and I will be transplanting them today. This really helped. Another question though, should I transplant during day or night. Shouldn't it be day so I dont disturb them ?

Doesn't really matter when you transplant, they can handle it. However, dry soil is much easier to work with and if wet can stick to the container and damage roots.

If I didn't re-use my own containers, I'd follow the other poster's advice on cutting bottoms out.

after looking at picks good move to transplant that pot is really small but normally you should not transplant during flower. i flower in a 5 gallon pot

Be carefull with that foil, it reflects the heat and can cause burn on your plants, I'd seriously change it out with some white plastic or something, nice plants, Peace.

Much nicer choice of pots. Just remember though pots dont have to be fancy ceramic pots, Grab a bucket and pop some holes in it and your good. 5 gallon buckets are available in every large retailer Ive ever been in. Walmart has some beautifull cheap "buckets" too.

agree anything except tin foil....emergency blankets are cheap and work well

second day after transplanting. So far, so good. Plants seem healthy, no sag in the leaves or any yellowing. I hope they start flourishing now

agreed, if you were thinking of transplanting shoulda done it a long time ago, transplanting now won't benefit anything much, and may just put unneeded stress on your plants

No stress signs as of yet. was an easy more with little movement. cut the bottoms out of my old pots and sat them in the new ones. Doing well after the 2nd day after the transplant. thanks though, i didnt want to change them but it was my mistake having small pots.
