What up world? Happy Valentines Day.. I hope you gave all the ladies in your life lots of love.. FA1 is looking beautiful! Lots of nice lush growth.. FA2 on the other hand did not like the rain water. Leaves started drooping so I thought perhaps I had overwatered.. Then I saw some brown spots and figured that perhaps I was getting some calcium lock out. So I have sense added some organic B1 as well as Sensi Calmag to my feeding. I gave FA2 a little flush and some hydro perox and although it hasn't "perked up" yet, there has now been some good looking growth the past 24 hrs and no additional spotting etc. I germed a WW x WW freebie but the tap root came back up. I dug it up and will post some pics tomorrow. Wish me luck! Also this morning I put 2 more Fallen Angels and a WW x Cheese in cups to soak so hopefuly this time tomorrow WW2 will come up and FA 3,4 and WWCheese will have cracked! As I stated previously I am going straight into a solo Hempy cup of course perlite base and fertilized Coir top. I'm not sure why but since I got this new computer with Windows 8 I can't just push enter to go down a space so that's why my damn posts are now all pushed together and I have to post my pics like I do. If anybody has had any similar issues as I've listed above (about my babies or this problem not being able to space my posting properly,) please let me know.

Oh yeah.. I dumped the rain water.. I can get good RO water for 30-35 cents a gallon so unless I was seeing benefits with the rain water, which I didn't, I'll stick with the RO. I have actually been feeding FA1 daily the past 3 days, 100 ppms each of Sensi grow A&B, Sensi Cal grow, and organic B1, and it has seemed to love it. Any thoughts?

I've decided to go with about 60 ppms each of the nutes and just feed everyday. The White Widow that had the tap root issue has straightened up nicely. I covered it back up to keep it dark another day or so I figure. The other 3 beans (FA 3,4 and WW x Cheese) were all at the bottom of their respected containers but none had split. I transferred into paper towel so all I can do now is send it the positive vibrations and check for the taps manana! I expect to introduce the world to the young Widow tomorrow also. Thanks for checking out the thread!

Looking good grower^^^^they look slightly burned, no biggie just ease off the nutes; they don't need any at this stage............if your lucky enough to collect your own rain water, USE IT! it almost always contains beneficial bacteria which i spend $$$ on to inoculate my soil with.....you get it for free:)

I was getting some real nice under growth from FA1 so I decided to tape a leaf to try to let the light reach. the 21st or 22nd will be 3 weeks so I think I will plan on transplanting then. The White Widow has came up and everything no problem but today marks the 3rd or 4th day above ground and still no sign of 1st leave set. Can anybody speak on that? Different strains take longer for it to come up? I had it in the dark yesterday and it didn't really seem to like it much so I left it out, but not in direct light, and it seemed ok. Ill try to post pics tomor

I suppose it can take longer for the first leaves to grow in. That's just my guess. How long are you going to keep these bad girls in veg?

I was planning 4-6 weeks, so another 10-20 days. Would you think I would be able to leave them in the solo 'til then?

You could technically just keep them in the cups but I'd transfer them for more veg growth. The roots will have more area to conquer

I go in to check this morning and find FA2 tipped over and my WW bent over like the stem snapped! To make matters worse my other seedlings just aren't looking right. So let me sum up my past 24 hours: My humidifier is not working properly, even after I've changed the clogged filter, it still isn't running 100%. The WW which didn't want to grow it's first leaf set anyway, snapped over. My 3 remaining seedling, FA 3&4 + WWCheese just aren't looking right. The only difference between this and FA 1&2 is that I started in those Jiffy Pots. If for whatever reason I am unable to turn these around I guess I will have to go back to what worked for me. What I have done now is turn on the area 51 and lowered them right down on FA 1&2 and then raised the HTG to about 24" above the seedlings. Is the light going to kill them or should I be alright? I will take pic of what set up and plants are looking like tomor. edit: The seedlings loved the lights a 20-24" up. I have experienced no stretching or shrinking or anything.

I asked a similar question a few days ago and the kind folks on here gave me an answer that is working out for me. I am planning to use (2) 240w HTG 7-band LED lights to flower 3 plants. Currently vegging under a single 240w LED. I have the light set at 18" and I have a couple of 35w cfls adding some light, though I don't think they are needed, but were just laying around, so I used them. I'm growin good ole Colorado genetics - 303Seeds Snow Goddess and Dank#5.... the Dank is gettin a big butt lol, they will be 3 weeks old from dropping seeds in shot glass on this Friday.

I plan to veg them in the 1 gallon pots until I can take cuttings and get them sexed, then I will transplant 3 gurls to 5 gallon fabric pots.

Anyway, here's a couple of shots of my set-up. I'm subbed to this thread, grow em big.image.jpgimage.jpg

Got a cool mist humidifier and they seem to really love it. Fighting to get the damn RH around 50 is a losing battle ya dig? After some tinkering I think I got it stabilized right about 64-65% so I'm happier than a pig in feces at the present moment. Things change quicker than a city slicker so I shall enjoy the momentary win. I decided to keep the girls sober today (no drink) just cause the leaves were a little droopy on FA2 and since I have been feeding every day for past few days I figured it couldn't hurt none. Be cool

Update: The seedlings needed that extra moisture but now FA1 and FA2 leaves are drooping some. I woke up and RH was 81-82 but everything else is healthy. I actually had to remove the seeds and open up the seedlings so the first leaf sets could be exposed but they look way better now that I have done that. The WW looks pretty much done but the other 3 have first leaf sets and are standing up good. Still don't know what happened but I think they were just too exposed to the low RH. So overall I expect the next couple days to stabilize and will add pics.

^^^ I'm not sure if I'm just psycho, but I seem to have to do the same thing with more beans than I think I should have to. Always scares the shit out of me when I'm taking safety pins to a bitty sprout to split the seed halves apart. One time a sprout couldn't even split the cotyledon casing underneath the shell so I had to slice that open with a razor as well. Thing immediately sprung open so it was definitely trying, but sheesh. I almost think if I just leave them they'll do their thing and be stronger plants for having to struggle a bit, but I just worry about them too much. :/

What humidifier did you get? Cost? I'm thinking my tents could stand some added humidity, but I don't want to spend $40-$50 on something I'm going to have to clean every harvest and sink money into filters and whatnot. I'm leaning towards making my own, but it'd still be ~$30+ which I'm not entirely ok with.

I think its called Honeywell. I'll check the box to make sure tomor but it was about $55. But I got the model with the larger capacity so I think I saw others cheaper and my last model was $50 but I found on sale for $20. Ive found a new grocer that sells RO water at .30/gal so I will now be running that through the humidifier as well as feeding. Since this model doesn't have a filter of any sorts and the tap water is harder than a math test, I think this will pay off in the long run. I read last rights to the WW so it's officially 3 seedlings + FA 1&2. Got temp at 81 and RH at 71, which I will keep up for at least the next week or so for the seedlings sake. I can't find my charger and batteries are dead on camera so no pics until I find. Oh ya, I have also taped FA1 to the side and am getting some great undergrowth. I had been bending FA2 over, almost snapping it and it would bounce back really great but it has been climbing too much vertically so I'm experimenting with taping that one as well. So ya pics tomor

Transplanted FA 1&2 into final pots. I hope everything does well. Here's some updated pics: IMG_0411.jpgIMG_0416.jpgIMG_0417.jpgIMG_0418.jpgIMG_0419.jpgIMG_0420.jpgIMG_0415.jpgIMG_0412.jpgIMG_0413.jpgIMG_0414.jpg Also, I noticed some mold like growth at the base of FA4. I sprinkled some cinnamon in all 3 and they seem to work.

FA 1 & 2 have really handled the transplant well and I will probably pull the trigger 5-7 days earlier on the next batch. I need to find some square buckets to fit a little better in the tent cuz it's looking like space is going to be a little tight here soon. The cinnamon seemed to clear up the mold or whatever that was. So yeah, everything is coming along right on time and thanks for the advice Grandmah about giving them a little veg time in the big buckets!
