hi, i need to exhaust air into my attic, but the house is rented and i dont want to cut holes in the roof, the house is 1 floor, in the room there is a a/c supply and a/c return vent, would i be able to remove the a/c return ducting and place it somewhere in the attic and use the hole that was in to vent into the attic?

No I would not do this, your A/c system was installed to bring back a certain amount of air( CFM) back to the Air handler and or furnance, you will starve the system for air and alter the performance of the system .

yes he is completely right. only do this if you plan to not use the ac or if you can put it somewhere else relative. it must be the same size and everything, same position on the plunum/trunkline
