OK quick question. Im assuming you have moved to 12/12 since your able to sex them, correct? Why at such a young age they look small. any reason why so early.

Many Plant Show There Sex after 2-3 Weeks In growth ~ Normal For Alot Strains ~ not just Autos
Its harder to tell ~ but you dont have to Put them in 12/12 usally to tell.

I dont Suggest Using that Light For Entire Grow
I Would Get a Hight Int. Light ~ HPS or MH ~ PRef. HSP for Bloom
This will Help ALOT ~

The Light you got now will grow a Plant... to the end of Bud
but Just not to its fullest Potential.
I get its your 1st grown ~ dont wanna invest Alot ect ect
not sure If $200 Is alot for you ~ but you can get a decent light online for that
My Suggest is a 600 or 1000 ~ If its your 1st light i would get a Ballist thats Switchable From MG (Grow) To HSP ( Bloom)
Your end Result will be worth it
This will Help With your Heat Too!
Also For Time Being ~ Not Sure If you have Large Carboard Box ~ Or tent To Hang Around Plants ~ Also Put some 5 gal Buckets Filled w/ Water Around your Plants this will Tramp Heat & Help Keep your Babys Warm ~

Hey Nol, thanks for checking out my journal man. Yeah, this is my first ever grow. I appreciate your advice, and I plan on upgrading my lighting and other equipment in the future as I go along. This first grow was more about learning and seeing if I could actually end up with something smokeable. My main goal was to keep it as simple (and low cost) as I can, and see where I should upgrade/improve my methods and equipment. Thanks for the tips man. I always appreciate good advice from the more experienced growers, and that's the main reason I wanted to do a journal. Cheers!

Well, I harvested one of the girls this past weekend. I chopped the taller one (Betty). She ended up measuring 18" tall! Looks like I got a pretty good haul from her. I'm pretty satisfied. The other will be getting chopped this coming weekend. Here's a couple pics...

Thanks man. I've sampled some already and it's some really good stuff! I'll be chopping the other one this weekend and then it's on to my next grow. Up next I think will be the Easy Ryders that I got as freebies. Can't wait to see how those turn out.

If you show me a plant that shows sex after 14 days under 18/6 i will congratulate you.

Even plants that start 12/12 from seed dont show that early. I know this because I do it. Under 18/6 a plant will take anywhere from 4 weeks and up to show preflowers, males being first.

Well this will probably be my last update as the grow is officially complete. I have harvested and dried both plants and they are now in glass jars. I got 32 grams dry from Alice. She was about 12" full grown. I ended up with 25 grams dry from Betty Lou (after a lot of sampling, haha). She ended up being 18" full grown. So I ended up with right at about 2 ounces, which I think is pretty awesome for my first grow. I was only hoping for an ounce total, and I got double that. The smoke is amazing. I feel like it is some of the finest stuff I've ever smoked. It is really a creeper though, meaning directly after finishing a bowl I feel totally fine, then about 10 minutes later I'm completely blazed. It only lasts about an hour and a half or so before I start coming down. The come down is really gentle which I like. Some weed that I've had in the past has given me a headache or left my pretty dazed for a while after coming down. This just feels real clean and gentle. It's cool and I like it. I would definitely recommend this strain to anyone. It's a good finished product, it grows fast, and it's super easy to grow. Thanks to all of you who have contributed to my journal. Peace.
