You are right about where I'm thinking! I need to get one of those titan fan controllers and I can find the sweet spot between the two fans! Just need another $90 or so now

So I went in the room this morning and the temp was 83, wtf piece of shit already isn't working! Hey double check the instructions... Oh huh I only put it in fan mode. click the button and hear the AC come on. The room dropped 5 degrees in like 12 seconds, lol it was pretty sweet.

With no intake at all the AC is coming on more than I want. With a little venting and this weather I shouldn't need the AC at all really. Although if I want that temp dialed exactly the only way to truly achieve that is with a plus temp room that gets cooled to where I need it. Or the flip side is a cold ass room that needs heat to hit its mark. Either way costs money. It's only turning on for about 20 seconds every 3-4 minutes, I'm gonna sit in there with a stop watch and see exactly. After I get some repeatable data I'm gonna hook up that little fan on my intake so air is constantly pulling in from the house. Even in summer time my house is set at 78, right now its 68. It may just be the little oomph the room needs to stay at its temp with less AC on time.
or it's possible I'll need two different setups, one for summer one for winter. I don't want to go that route though.

So this is what I put on my intake to draw air in, its only 33 watts supposedly and says its 550cfm, so something doesnt sound right. Either way, the AC hasnt kicked on again in over about 2 hours and its a perfect coincidence that my temp is sitting right at 78. Im a happy camper for now. Its funny to see the difference with negative and positive pressure. It went from trying to suck the door shut as I got it close to now its fighting me to stay open when I close it

To say I've heavily defoliated throughout veg is an understatement. I dont think its bad for regular grows and I think its absolutely necessary and beneficial to a proper scrog. Maybe I'll make a video while I do a pruning job, I find myself quite interesting as I do it. I ask myself of every leaf, branch and node as I twist the table... Are you hurting me or helping me? Without actually filming how I answer those questions as I go would be hard to actually put into words. If a fan leaf is big, its getting cut pretty much no matter what. Unless its at the very bottom of the plant and not blocking anything below it. Granted it will get cut in flower but not now. So then you have fan leaves near the screen or above the screen. If its small enough and looks like it might make it through before its too big, Ill leave it. Sometimes you'll have a branch just about at the screen and you can actually use its fan leaves to shelf it on the screen. It gets it closer to the light, and once its up and through the screen a few inches it will most likely get cut. When I move branches back under the screen, its only when they are long enough to fully make into the next square of screen and not be sitting right on the growth tips. If a branch is well above the screen and has a big fan leaf, theres a 90% chance its blocking a little branch underneath that wants to come up and join the screen party.
You know when you grow a plant normal and those little lower branches dont do much, some people cut them off! even in scrogs! Thats crazy, just give them a little light and space and they too will work their way up. Sometimes those little branches are super skinny and not very strong, Ill cut some of its fan leaves just to lighten it up a bit, you can actually see them spring up a bit as the leaves get chopped off. Im not concerned with getting a bushy fat stock to the screen, My only concern is getting a branch with a node to the screen, the rest will take care of itself. I guess Im rambling alot. People probably dont even care Im going to make another video, possibly, I may not have another big chop session before I go into flower but we'll see.

Mine is a DC fan, and rated 24-48 volts and 12-62v allowable I think.
I have an 18v 1 amp charger hooked to it, and its quiet as hell!
When they start flowering Ill switch to a laptop charger on the 28 or 32v side and it will get a lil louder butmove tons of air at20-40 watts.
I cant remember what I worked out anymore.
Still WAYYYY cheaper that a 6" inline noisy bastard

I remember now! Lol there's no room for me to work over the table and I need to get further over to do that. I'm on the top step of my ladder as it is when I'm up there and already pushing the boundaries of bad ideas
I'm going to run that little fan I added for this grow and when I harvest ill be able to pull the table back out and do the work up top I need to do. I will add a fan and duct back to the cool tube (I want a new hood) but possibly just run a 4" fan as I don't need crazy power, then run it on the controller at the lowest speed. At least I think all of this will work out!

Be good to me baby! It runs only about 30 watts in fan mode but when the AC kicks on she hits over 1000, I guess its safe to say its about 100 watts per BTU. The last AC I tested worked out about the same, I think it was a 6k and it pulled around 600 watts when it ran. If you've never seen a killawatt, they're badass specifically for things like this - showing costs of something that has a greatly fluctuating power consumption. You punch in your cost and it tells you per hr/day/week/month/year/ever. It shows watts, volts, hz all kinds of of good shit, and it will make you breakfast too!
I used one on my first grow after getting back into growing. It was a beastly 150 watt HPS cab, fans and all it was $8 a month.
