Meet the 100 dollar extreme ghetto grow... grow room..
After you are done laughing (I do), realize it produced everything I needed (and more) for about 100 clams invested total, and less than 12-15 bucks of energy a month.. easy. (I actually never notice a difference when I ran it or when I didn't).
It's drawbacks, and why it wouldn't work for 99% of the people are it is manual (too much going on to seal it so I'd leave it open and manually put them to bed every night.. I've done this off and on for years.. never had a hermie yet.. but then again I am pretty darn punctual as their schedule fit's exactly with mine.
It did everything I needed, I never had to bend down and the end results I was completely satisfied with.
It isn't always how much you spend, but how well what you do have works for you. I am 100% personal (I haven't actually smoked a joint with someone in close to 15 years). And always had more than I knew what to do with.
Nothing fancy and nothing to brag about.. except of course it was done on the cheap, and respectably enough for the likes of me.
Just off in a corner lurks a cardboard box lined with white poster board (supported by plastic poles) with 350 watts of assorted CFL and a laptop cooler ran into charcoal packets up top to help keep smell down. A 4 inch fan with an odor killing CFL lingering over it... I lived in an apt of seniors and had my landlord over frequently, he could never smell a thing and never had a clue. On inspections I ljust pull the cloth down.. those little odor eating CFL's really help as part of odor eating)
What's going on in that silly 100 dollar box..
You can fit more in a small space than one would think.. just keep airflow a goin..
If it matters to anyone, if memory serves the one plant on the left was a Blue Magoo, the one in the middle was a mother plant for a 'Frankenstein' that I just decided to toss and figured I may as well flower it with the others, and the one on the right is the Sativa side of G-13.. that plant.. it would of been 5 ft tall in that photo if I untied it.. way too much for that little spot.. but as always, I managed to 'fit it in'..
They actually loved it in there more than the porch.. This is a happy enough plant to continue production.. flat tops.. that is the only way to make use of limited space with 1 or two plants.
Anyway.. that's what 100 clams buy's you,.. I guarantee in a blind taste test, you can't tell the difference in strains between what I grow/grew under those 100 dollar conditions and the stuff that is grown by the cat I get all my strains from. In fact he always likes a taste of mine because I tend to let it mature a bit longer than his 'scheduled' harvests.
It's always fun to have a guy with several 1000 watt lights and a full hydro system come over and talk shop about your 350 watt cfl ghetto grow with such enthusiasm.

You may no proceed to make fun of me and laugh.. I would.. That said, I still have many ounces of beautifully cured manicured tops in reserve that were grown in this box over the period of last year that will keep me until I decide to go back and bulk up again.. I go about a year growing and about 9 months of a break.. off and on like that for years..
Works for me and my silly life..
And that's what you get for a hundred bucks.. Cheaper than a bag of grass in most places.
