Is it a sativa? Leaves look a bit indica, but maybe a hybrid? It took close to a month for my sativa to flower. Could be a strain thing. Although I just transplanted my plant a week ago from a 2 gallon to a 5 gallove bucket and it actually started flowering faster. As long as NONE of the roots were disturbed, it shouldn't affect the plant too much. And I believe I was overwatering mine, because it was in a small pot. After I put it in a 5 gallon bucket, I haven't had to water near as often and the plants really took off flowering.

I had two Vanilla kush that hadn't started by day 30 - so I threw them out. I'm kind of inpatient though. Longest I've had to wait for one to start was a killing fields that didn't start till day 24 - so it happens, but she was about 85% sativa, and your does look more Indica. Maybe try a bloom stimulator, nothing 5 days after that and you might have a dodgy pheno.

the plant looks great, itll flower, patience is key, sativa dominant will most likely to take longer to preflower, sativas are your southern tropical cannibus plants with a longer gowingseason, whereas indica dominant would most likely preflwer earlier due to its naturally northern climate weather around the globe, this applies for indoor growing also, just because 12/12 is inducing fall flower, it doesnt change the genetics of the plants origin, in other words WAIT LONGER, some take longer than others, IT WILL flower, it has to by natures rules as long as it has no more than 12 ours of light a day, any more can and will keep it from budding, hence ''mother plant''.!!!! Yours look really good!!!!!

agreed, but if it was overdosed on nitrogen it would be very noticeable in the leaves, this plant looks pefect in the pics, i see 0 signs of a def. or burning, i believe its just a slow budder, sometimes good things come to those who wait!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you give it alot of nitrogen in the veg. Hight amounts of nitrogen can delay flowering.

I've only just started getting my stuff toeather , got a grow tent , got a couple of good quality led panels. My plants are a months and half old and arnt flowering yet. They are Sativa , I just changed the pots today to bigger ones and decided I should just grow in big pots to begin with , I have no need for small pots with the space I have anyway - getting to my question , where does the 28 days come from? Is that a magic number if you run lights for 18/6 or is that generally the life of the plant? My plants are still small at day 28 as I just run 12/12 . When it comes to flowering should I increase the light power but lower the total light time by an hour?

Next grow I'm aiming to go 18/6 for 28 days now I've got things sorted and see how that goes.

first off you should be at 18/6 or 24/0 for at least 4-6 weeks from seed, then swith to 12/12 light for flower taking nother couple months to finish, 28 days means absolutely nothing and not sure why you have that number in your grow at all, irrelevent, the plant wlltake its time, but if youve had it at12/2 since seed then it has been in flower its entire life, it will not yield high this way, maybe start flower signs faster but thats it, theres no benefit to 12/12 from seed if your wanting a yield and a quality plant, i go with 6 weeks of 24 hour light under 600 mh, and switch to a 600 hps for flower get a pound with 2 plants!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could you trick it by running a few weeks at 18/6 and then going back to 12/12 , or keep it on 12/12 for a bit to get more growth and then go 6/18?
