im gonna put 1/4 tsp of bleach in my rezzz tomorow
I seen people do it. I think it's kinda nuts, but I think a lot of what peeps do with their plants is nuts. I think they were using drops per gallon... about what it sounds like you are planning.

Here is a thread on how to treat it another way: https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/361430-dwc-root-slime-cure-aka.html

I don't think it would take the slime off... but I would suggest getting DM Zone. You can also wash it off the roots, that will help for a little bit.

Good luck.

I pretty much had the same opinion, when she was telling me about it.

I built a CO2 gen out of a RV propane furnace this fall gone by, the lady using it is only on her second propane 20lb tank in a 12x12x8 vented room since then, that’s $22 of propane and the second tank is still 1/2 full. The 15000 btu RV furnace compared to a 15000 btu Commercial gen would have been over a grand. I was allowed in to a junkyard and was told to help myself to whatever I wanted; I walk out with 3 different size systems 5000, 10000, and 15000 btu furnaces with copper tubing, fittings and regulators. We put a CO and propane alarm in the room, for added safety, checked all the fittings with dish soap, if pilot light goes out on the furnace the thermocouple shuts off the gas, and it doesn’t need any electricity to run.

ok so let me get this straight, you just used the pilot off of the furnace? rigged it up and made sure the thermocoupler was working and you just burn a pilot light...pretty good idea.....i think i read this when i was drunk and didnt pay much though to it (sorry man) i just assumed you were talking about an entire heating system and figured it would be way too big for my room.

http://www.amazon.com/US-Stove-89922-Pilot-Thermocouple/dp/B004V7FSSC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1362237138&sr=8-1&keywords=propane+pilot+thermocoupler

something like this right? i have worked with propane deep fryers before so i know all about thermocouplers and pilot lights....basically the thermocoupler opens the valve for the propane when it is hot and as it cools it closes the valve. verry safe actually as long as the thermocoupler is working properly, generally when they fail though they fail to open not close. so still fairly safe'

headed over to the grow today but didnt get too involved.

DWC is rocking it.....wait till you see the difference in root growth and plant. PH was a little high so lowered it. the blueberry gum downstairs is going to be a monster, the stems are so thick its going to have some massive buds on it.

dropped the air pump for the DWC on my tallest tomato plant :( snapped it right at the base. recruited some masking tape and a pen and piece of rope i taped it back together and propped it up...please say prayer for the little guy...

sweet basil is starting to smell good. makes me want to cook with it already lol.

will be doing a pic update after i feed tomorow. need a speed controller so i can crank my light back up to 100% as its tripping my power strip running the ballast at 100% and the fan at 100%.

bout it for now.

That's some sick order of goodies seems as if you will be on a roller coaster of highs come harvest...
yeah, now i have 25+ strains and not really sure which to grow next....haha

have a ass ton of clones ill be saving till week 4-5 of flower, picking 1-2 keeprs and then giving the rest away. hopefully they dont get too mad at me for making them sit in solo cups for that long. will have to transplant and do some root ball trimming to get them roots out of rootboundness and back into growing, but its the only way im going ot be able to keep viable clones without running out of room.

the plan as of right now is to place my keepers into flower as soon as i harvest this up n coming crop and have some plants from seed up and coming to put into flower a couple weeks after i put the keeper clones in. this way i can spread out my harvests and hopefully make room a little easier to manage.

The thing I admire about you matt is you have your shit together, and you give yourself several ways to success man, weed shrooms, mutli strain, seeds, clones...

thanks man appreciate the kind words, wasnt always like this though.

in case anyone is interested, this is the verry start of my indoor growing back in July of 2011. name has changed due to hackers and i got myself banned but this is the link that started it all. and as you can see i have not always had my shit together, like most others i stepped into this hobby headfirst and headstrong, read, read, read, invested, invested and invested some more. I am a DIY kinda person so....without further adu

https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/486654-bbg-baisic-bagseed-grow.html

here is my second grow, this grow here starts with my first investment which was a cheapo tent and 400w light and some seeds. at some point the forums got hyjacked and i changed my name to Retiredmatthebrute and started all over. (i assure everyone that i am 29 years old and my statements to get banned were simply a ploy to achieve the ban on my other account)

https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/504737-400w-tent-ultimate-scrog-perpetual.html

then came this grow, the outdoor part got jacked and this is the begining of my current setup, shows some of the cloning systems i have built and also the construction of my room, more investment and experience. this thread ends when i harvested my first fruity chronic juice plant and a blue cheese plant.

https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/556898-600w-multi-strain-grow.html

I dont expect anyone to read through all of these threads, im just posting them so people can see that i didnt just get to where i am at overnight, there was alot of trial and error, alot of help from RIU and alot of time and money invested to get to where im at right now. most good growers are the same way, they started out small and worked thier way up to big time. personally i feel that is the best way to do it.

many people look at a grower doing well and say "hey "your" doing a awesome job" but its not just me, its a collection of people all working together to achieve the higher goal.

it has been a awesome journey and i have met many of friends along the way. and i would like to thank each and every one of them for help because without this comunity i would not be where im at right now.

ahhh.. I remember the end of the BBG thread... those were the days.. when the grass was green and the women were clean......

yeah man going back through the thread its like a blast from the past lol that lucky 7's jan 2012 promo changed the way i felt about bagseeds forever. after growing out some quality genetics i realized bagseeds were trash (unless you find them in a bag of bomb but then your likely to have hermies)

shame back then i was still mastering germination trying that lame lass paper towel method. i have since smartened up but lost alot of the strains from that order to either rippers or shitty germination.

haha hope thats a good thing, i have helped lots and pissed off lots as well :)

anyho headed over to the grow in a few, got some construction to do to help everything fit a bit better, ger my cosmos up off the ground so they get some light, check on my poor tomato plant and do a rez change, going to be a busy day for sure. then over to the mushies to check on them

yeah it fucked alot of us, myself included. really sucked but hoping they have thier shit together for the most part and it dosent happen again.
It's true.. I had a good little journal going.. tried a lot of different things and learned alot too
