Will you look at my genitals, please?

So, I think I have a female plant on my hands, and I couldn't be more stoked. I know many of you sagely growers are sick of the question -- especially when accompanied by blurry, washed out pictures like mine -- but, I'm super new to growing, so I would appreciate a second opinion if you wouldn't mind indulging me.

I've attached a couple pics, though they're not the best, so I'll also try to describe what I see with the naked eye: The calyx or pollen sac is sort of oval-like, but it comes to a point, much like a sesame seed. And, coming from the end of that is a tiny white hair. It doesn't appear in the pictures because my camera sucks and my loupe is still in the mail, but there definitely is a white hair at the end. Am I correct in believing that pollen sacs don't produce hairs?

Anyway, any thoughts (if any of this makes sense and the pics aren't too horrible) are greatly appreciated!

I do believe you're right.

But....are the little balls on little tiny stems? (That would be bad)

Good luck

From those horrible pics... It looks female to me, but I'd wait a little more just to be sure. Male plants will literally develop balls, you can't miss it... round, hanging together, loving life balls. That, my friend, is when you yank that stud up by its neck and chuck it!

Could be, can you see pistils? Try taking a good pic and open it in "windows photo veiwer" then you can inlarge it and use the "snippin tool" in your start menu to get a blow-up..EXAMPLE..

Looks kind of male-ish, just wait a bit longer or get better pics but as soon as you see tiny white hairs you know its female.

And, thanks again, all! This is my first plant and first time determining gender, so I truly do appreciate all of your help.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean my little tiny stems. Are you referring to the thickness of the branches, the location of the growth, or asking whether the balls have stems of their own? Whatever the case, they are appearing along the trunk, so to speak, nestled at the base of where the leaf stem meets with trunk (node?).

Male plants can be used for making hash and/or tinctures, though, right? Just needs LOTS more plant matter due to a much lower THC concentration. Hopefully not a bridge I'll ever have to cross, but good to know nonetheless since I'm planning to proceed mostly with seeds rather than clones going forward.

Funny story: my wife is a professional photographer, so she usually sucks up our photo budget, leaving me with my phone camera. Honestly, her equipment is so complicated that I don't really know how to use (and so expensive I don't want to risk breaking) it unless she's set it up. But, after seeing how bad my first pictures were, she said, "Maybe I should take some pictures for you."

Here's a perfect example of a male pre-flower, on it's stem.

balls on sticks with no trichomes = male
tulip shaped things with trichomes and no sticks = female

Some varieties put out little things that people confuse with balls in the buds during early flowering.
I freaked when I saw weird things in the buds of my Fire OG. I got out my magnifying glass and noticed they had trichomes.

trichomes = female

Right on, Trousers. For clarity when you say trichomes, do you mean pistils (the small white hairs)? In other words, "pistils = female" rather than "trichomes = female."

no!
get a jewlers loupe or microscope.
trichomes are the actual goo that forms on the plant. I once smoked a "hair" doobie. unremarkable at best. pistils do not get you high...but the do signify female
