PSA: Remove EXIF info from ur pics!! (This contains EXACT GPS COORDS!)

Exact GPS coordinates, I can find your house on google maps. BOOM, takes me a second.

Do ur self a favor and google exif tag remover for images and USE IT!

Especially these days when the super fancy phones can take pictures, THEY CAN AND WILL INSERT GPS DATA!

You can also upload your files onto your computer and take a screen shot of them.

This helps reduce file size as well without losing too much resolution.

this was a problem several years back on a mountain bike site i post on and thiefs would scope out pics of big money bikes then hit them up. i also remember there being a warning on facebook about this a little while back. its something that everyone should know so maybe sticky this???

If you could show an example of an image that has gps data, then a clean pic that would be good

Well to the viewer, you can't tell if the picture has exif data in it or not, unless you have a exif reader. If you have a reader, a menu option will be available to view data, and the GPS info will be on there, just in the form of Lat and Long. The program I have, is a plugin for firefox and it's easy becuase it even provides a link directly to google maps, yahoo maps, etc!!
