So, you have a felony history, you've relocated states (giving you a bit of a clean start.) The Feds won't give 2 shits about you and your 2 plants (or even 20 plants, if you can legally grow them, there.) The state will give you a card, making you 100% legal to consume cannabis. Yet, you'd rather not get the card, because ... ?
I'll let you in on a secret, even if you are a federal fugitive, having that card doesn't help them find you. Even if you get that card in your real name, while you are a federal fugitive...
EDIT: And, from the sounds of it, you met a woman, moved into her house, and are living with her, but under her care and "protection." She's got a child... Yet, you'd rather worry about yourself, and being "in a book" over the child and woman... Don't worry, she won't leave you for risking her and her child more, just plant more plants. She's already allowing you to endanger her house, freedom, and child. I mean, if you had a card, that would all become trivial, but, since she's already letting you do it, go for it.

ok. after her and me had a good long talk. we both decided for me to stop growing indoors. this hurts me cus it is my passion to grow, indoors or out. she understands how i feel, and has always supported my thoughts. so after these girls are done. im done. OH see4 that was really fucked up of you to say that......

As long as the child doesn't have access to the grow or the product (must be locked up) then you should be able grow with out repercussions... at least that's how it is in Ca.

Now that I read further into the thread... your best bet is just to stop your grow altogether... finish your girls and forget about it until those kids are 18... and if you continue to smoke through the years make sure your stash is locked up (like in a safe) kids talk and if the wrong ears fall on a conversation about my step dad smokes weed... CPS will come a knockin'

I speak from experience, you really don't want CPS knocking on your door. Even if everything is found to be unfounded, it is a headache for months.
I am in no way saying don't grow, that is between you and your lady. But extreme stealth is always a benefit foe everybody, even if it makes it a pain in the ass to get into the room every night (or day), a little planning ahead can save a lot more of a headache. I live in Colorado where i am allowed to grow 6 plants (3/3) per person 21 years of age in the house, but if you came looking for my room without exact instructions on how to get to it, you would most likely leave empty handed.
