Growing in a home with children

My mother is growing through a divorce and she asked me to move back home to help with rent. She has two small children age 3 and 5. How if at all can I grow with them living in the house? Please dont tell me to goggle it, I tried and didnt find a straight forward answer. Thanks fellas

You grow the same way you grow anywhere. Lock the door and don't tell anyone.

I went thru this also best answer I can find is.keep it locked and make shure there is no.accsess to the grow not just a closed locked door put a latch and padlock .....I dnt have anything in the house just some personal buds and pipe everything.ealse is in a detached shed and garadge locked .

First make sure your mother knows you're growing and she is ok with it.

Yeah you can grow with kids. If you get caught they will add child endangerment and whatever the else they can think up.

I wouldn't risk it. If something were to happen you have kids there so I am sure you will get hit with the book.

Yeah in CA it's risky (if you are in CA). The CA DPS can try and take the kids if they find a grow. That's why I was dry for a good 35 years. It just didn't seem worth the risk and frankly I just forgot all about it.

its easier to get them used to plants and then introduce pot as just another plant, its got a secondary compound in it non to help cure cancer; like that of lemon geranium with its secondary compound citronella which combats mosquitoes. its educational you learn about secondary compounds in botany.

just keep the door locked so kids cant access the grow and also make sure any extra meds r secured in a locked cabinet in childproof containers. having kids and MMJ in CA is not an issue as long as CPS cant find an IMMEDIATE danger to the kids. If CPS took kids simply over grows the emerald triangle would have adoption tours like a 3rd world country

Think about worse case scenarios. If a kid wandered into your HID grow room and touched a bulb on accident it will certainly fry the fucking skin off their hands.

Posts like this make me wish this site had a do not like button. A) The attitude that you can't be a grower and a responsible comes from the same place as every anti-cannabis bias. Sure there are examples of people who are not responsible with cannabis, but if you are going to spout off that growing = not being a good parent, you might as well just be for the drug war. B) LEDs aren't crap and seeing as how electricity is expensive in CA they're kind of beneficial. Just because you bought a crap led, don't know how to grow properly to make it work, or have no experience at all and are just mouthing off because you saw some people bitch about'em online, that doesn't mean they don't work. The many people who happily grow with LEDs will tell you you're 1000% wrong.

Now, the kid by law is never supposed to be in your grow room, so if they can touch the HPS bulb you are already in trouble.

Follow the alcohol model. What would you do if you had a microbrew setup at home? Is someone who brews beer at home a bad parent? It's a matter of education and proper boundaries at appropriate ages if we can't work that out then there's no place for legalization.

nice double post my post was not meant to have any attitude i was basically saying that being a crappy parent and a grower dont mix well if u r a shitty parent u wont need a grow to get CPS involved in ur life its gonna happen eventually a grow will just b fuel for thr fire.
as far as LEDs r concerned i am sure they work great for little closet hobby grows. when i lived in NorCal we ran 9 lights. would LEDS work as well as HPS bulbs in that situation? doubt it

does this guy even know what hes talking about? do bulbs get so hot ur skins gonna fall off? Nope if tops can b less than a foot from the hood and not catch on fire skins not instantly burned. if ur kid leaves thr hand on an air cooled hood it will get warmer and warmer until its uncomfortable and they move thr hand if they leave thr hand up so long it gets burned ur kid has problems and needs to see a dr.
